Gives cause and cure for depression
Cognitive Therapy of Depression by Beck, A., A. Rush, B. Shaw, and G. Emert 1979. Guilford Press, NY This rather long, very detailed book is meant for professionals. Cognitive Therapy of Personality Disorders8 reviews
Aaron T. Beck MD, EdD Arthur Freeman EdD

The Guilford Press, 1990

Fantastic
This is a great book. For example, the chapters on obsessive compulsive and passive agressive personality give some great direction for therapy. Knowing that an obsessive person fears making mistakes, that narcissism is part of obsessionality and that a passive agressive person fears loss of autonomy can really guide treatment well. On the other hand, the treatment of narcissistic ...

Cognitive Therapy of An Avoidant Personality1 review
Aaron T. Beck MD

The Guilford Press, 1990

Cognitive Therapy of An Avoidant Personality
This is not worth the money...It's basically a tape of Beck working with a woman with Personality Disorder NOS, not a classic Avoidant P.D. She has already obtained a foundation in CBT through her regular therapist, and Beck does some basic work with her over 2 sessions. I didn't learning anything new. Disappointing.
