Goodnight Moon (Spanish edition): Buenas noches, Luna 36 reviews Margaret Wise Brown
Rayo, 1995
Great start for children and adult. I purchased this book for my children so they can learn the language. They are really enjoying it and learning it fast because we have the English version. I think it would be a great start for adults who want to learn Spanish.

An adorable picture book that talks about growing up This book celebrates what is special about being a child. The same familiar pattern on every page, allows children to anticipate what will come next. It is a wonderful book to share with young children.

wonderful book, but.... I teach a pre-K program and didn't pay attention to the fact that it was a small, chunky book and not one to read during circle time! Gave it away and now have to find it in a bigger size!

The Important Book 33 reviews Margaret Wise Brown
HarperTrophy, 1990
Great Writing Lesson This is a wonderful book to use for a writing lesson. I used it in a 1st grade classroom. We read the book aloud and discussed the pattern the author used for each item. Then as a writing activity each student chose one person to write about. They followed the same pattern as in the book, saying that "The most important thing about ________ is..." After they finished, I had them share their ...

Great first reader This book is a great first book. In fact, it is the first book my son read. *sniff* I'm so proud. :-) The sentences are short and the pictures hint at what the words may be. I would recommend this to all parents who are helping their children learn to read.

Baby's First Library (rpkg) (Baby's First Library) 18 reviews Margaret Wise Brown

Wonderful - Just Wonderful These books are wonderful. I started reading them to my sons as soon as they were born. My oldest is 3 and he can "read" Goodnight Moon to me. He looks forward to finding the little bunny before his mommy does in The Runaway Bunny and knows when to make the animal sounds before I turn the page in the Big Red Barn. This collection is a must for all kids. You won't regret buying them for the ...

Little Fur Family Deluxe Edition 31 reviews Margaret Wise Brown
HarperFestival, 2003
A psychedelic freakout of a kids book This has to got be one of the strangest, coolest, most out-there kids books ever.
I mean, what exactly ARE the little fur family? The dad looks like some kind of furry owl, the mom might be some sort of feminine echidna, the boy looks like a bear, and the grandpa I'm pretty sure is an airedale.
...Pretty sure.
Sometimes the book rhymes, sometimes it doesn't; sometimes the writing is ...

Home for a Bunny (Big Little Golden Book) 15 reviews Margaret Wise Brown
Golden Books, 2003
What a great, sweet book! This is such a sweet little book! Probably not much past age 5, but the story has a bunny looking for a place to stay or a home of his own. He proceeds to ask everyone he meets if he can live with them and they all say no. However, when he meets a little white bunny, the bunny takes him in and they then live together. The last picture is just so sweet with the two bunnies snuggling together. ...

Seven Little Postmen (A Little Golden Book) 6 reviews Margaret Wise Brown, Edith Thacher Hurd
Golden Books, 2002
"Sakes alive! What is it about?" Sakes alive! The secret is out! I really love children's books that sweep the reader away on long journeys. Harold and the Purple Crayon is one such book. So, too, are the Phantom Tollbooth and, of course, Tolkien's works. The Seven Little Postmen does this on a more mundane level, but the journey is enjoyable, nonetheless. Here, Margaret Wise Brown and Tibor Gergely lead us across bustling city streets, fly us through ...
