The Furry Bedtime Book: Lovey Bear's Story2 reviews
Margo Lundell

Cartwheel Books (Scholastics), 1996

A little bear is reassured of his mother's love
This is a beautifully illustrated book with a soft, furry cover. It is a comforting bedtime story ideal for reading aloud. We keep extras on hand as baby gifts, and my kids (ages 4 and 9) still count it as a favorite. A little bear is worried at bedtime and his mother reassures him he has nothing to fear. She will help him whatever the situation. The illustrations are among the best I've ...

Golden Books, 1996

Disney's The Hunchback of Notre Dame Esmeralda's Lucky Charm
What a wonderful book. I read this to my little girl last night and she absolutely loved it. In this original story the dazzling gypsy Esmeralda and her mischievous goat, Djali, arrive in Paris, friendless and penniless. But through a series of amusing mishaps, they soon meet the puppeteer Clopin, and are invited into a world of love and friendship. Excellent story book for your little ...

I Can Do It ABC ( First Little Golden Book)1 review
Margo Lundell

Golden Books, 1996

It's not for 9-12 year olds....
This book is clearly aimed at a much younger group than 9-12 year olds - the book's nameless protagonist is proud of being able to do things like carry her stuffed animals and climb the stairs. It is, however, currently my 16 month old daughter's favorite book; she once had me read it to her five times in a row. The illustrations look like they're from the early '70s, even though the book is ...

Girl Named Helen Keller (Hello Reader Level 3)4 reviews
Margo Lundell

Fitzgerald Books, 2007

Sad but good (from an 8-year-old)
I like this book because it's a true story that happened 100 years ago. It's a sad story because Helen Keller was blind and deaf. It's a good story because after a while she understood what she was doing and she learned how to write on a typewriter.

What I thought of "Dream Date"
This book had great pictures from the show but the story isn't really accurate from the episode. Plus after a few weeks the pages started to fall out.

The Wee Mouse Who Was Afraid of the Dark (All Aboard)2 reviews
Margo Lundell

Grosset & Dunlap, 1991

sums it all up
This is a cute little book I stumbled across by accident, but I am really glad I did! My 3 year old daughter and I have read it over and over. The book relates to common fears younger children have when the lights go out and it's time for bed through the sudden development of insecurity in Wee Mouse, then discusses different ways the parents try to help Wee Mouse through the fear. Eventually they ...

Disney's Pocahontas (Golden Look Look Books)2 reviews
Margo Lundell

Golden Books, 1995

Excellent Presentation
This is a very good book for young children. The sounds go perfectly with the story, which is richly illustrated and true to the movie. Many times these types of books have effects, which are made from token stock sounds. Not these, they are very faithful to the movie presentation. My daughter went back to this day after day.

My kindergarten counting book1 review
Margo Lundell

Golden Book, 1995

Cute & cheerful way to count from 1 to 20
Little stuffed Kindergarten Bear narrates this book that has kids counting the things they might see in their kindergarten class: blocks, toys, computers, snacks, lunchboxes, etc. The realistic watercolor illustrations are very attractive, with a nice multicultural balance in the group of children. Overall, a good counting book.
