The best cookbook on the market
I was given the 1964 edition of The Joy of Cooking by my mother when I was in my teens and there is no better than this one in our opinion. Mine had fallen apart from years worth of use and the one that I received was in practically mint condition for a 40 year old version. Lovely Design & Yummy Food
This book has the nicest page layout of photographs and recipes I've seen in a long time. It has recipes for simple things like different kinds of hot cocoa to cinnamon rolls, oatmeal, and tarts. i love this book, everything is written well and the recipes are delicious and easy to follow. the ONLY thing i would say is that it doesn't have a ton of recipes. i may use it for one or two, but i always go back to martha for her huge selection of every kind of hors d'oeuvre in the universe. her book is amazing. but, this is great to have and i use it often.
