Beautiful blend of Language and Legend
Mary-Claire Helldorfer's blend of language and legend creates a story that weaves feelings of faith, hope, fear, doubt, and trust into a tapestry that is further embellished by Yvonne Gilbert's illustrations. The Night of the White Stag is a book that children will treasure and pass down to their children.

Worth the money!
My daughters and I really enjoyed listening to this classic literature in long car rides. The story combined with the enchanting music made it all the more endearing.

Gather Up, Gather in: A Book of Seasons1 review
Mary-Claire Helldorfer

Demco Media, 1998

Rhythmic, gentle, and magical!
This is my favorite children's poem of all time! It is rhythmic and spiraling and evocative; Mary-Claire Helldorfer captures the pulse of each season with perfect imagery. My children still cherish it after all these years; it is our tradition at each season's change to pull this out and read it together. The artwork is lovely, too.

Clap Clap!1 review
Mary Claire Helldorfer

Viking Juvenile, 1993

Pretty Dull
Even for young children (2-4 yrs.), this book needs some VOOOOM! It's a story that says, A cutesy, 'See all the things God does.' Page after page of this gets pretty tiresome.
