Playtime Rhymes for Little People2 reviews

Barefoot Books, 2001

Not quite as good as Mother Goose by this same illustrator
I am hooked on Clare Beaton -- her illustrations are dynamite! But this book is not as much fun as the Mother Goose she did -- I was hoping for fewer finger-play rhymes (like itsy-bitsy spider) and more London Bridge-type rhymes. Just childhood sing-song would have pleased me better. However, the illustrations are out of this world. You really can't go wrong with this book. And if finger ...

East Wing: Politics, the Press and a First Lady6 reviews
Mary Finch Hoyt

Xlibris Corporation, 2001

East Wing: Politics, the Press and a First Lady, May 8, 2002
Mary Hoyt's new memoir is the story of her personal and professional journey and it is truly a profile in courage. She shows that when armed with determination, a woman who strives to be independent can achieve the career of her choice. Hoyt has my greatest admiration for her humorous insights as she leads us on an intimate fast-paced journey through the highs and lows of her career. A single ...

Three Billy Goats Gruff15 reviews
Mary Finch

Topeka Bindery, 2004

A fabulous addition to your library - classroom or home.
I bought this book on an impulse, simply based on the brightly colored illustrations and a brief refrain that that appears when you look inside the book. I couldn't be more delighted with this purchase. The book is a wonderful addition to my fairy tale library and my kindergarten kids absolutely LOVE listening to and participating in the retelling of the story, especially the rhyming ...

Care Through Touch: Massage As the Art of Anointing1 review
Mary Ann Finch

Continuum, 1999

Mary Ann is wonderful!
I had the opportunity to dialogue with this author via voice and email as well, and she has got to be one of the kindest, most wonderful people that you would ever want to have, teach you how to do massage. She is very concerned about the feelings of those she reaches out to. As a teacher, she's excellent. This book is highly recommended.
