Making Your Own Jumps (Step By Step Picture Guides)9 reviews
Mary Gordon-Watson

Half Halt Press, 1988

title is misleading
The books in this series are usually quite good, however, this particular title is misleading. There is no actual construction of jumps, but a collection of types of jumps for a course. This book seems nearly a duplicate of designing a jump course. I was disappointed.

The Physics of Accretion Onto Compact Objects: Proceedings of a Workshop Held in Tenerife, Spain April 21-25, ...1 review
K. O. Mason, Mary Gordon Watson

Springer, 1986

Review1.1
I like this book. It was very good. I loved its stylistic way of flowing through subject to subject. Its interwoven drama and spirit made it a fun read and an inspiring epic. This is a must read for any physics junkie and for all those just getting interested.

Horse: The complete guide4 reviews
Mary Gordon-Watson

Barnes & Noble, 1999

Excellent overview for the novice
Although no one area is covered in any great depth, it provides enough general knowledge to point the reader in the right direction for further research. General areas include basic physio information, care, tack ,feeding, health issues and diseases, an overview of various equestrian disciplines, and probably the most comprehensive (and well photographed) listing of known breeds with brief ...

Feeds and Feeding (Threshold Picture Guides)1 review
Mary Gordon Watson

Half Halt Press, 1988

Cleared up a lot of confusion for all of us.....
Lots of pictures and drawings to explain all the types of feed. The entire series is well done. Helped us know what and WHY we should feed certain products and what we should avoid. Recommended.

Learn to Ride in a Weekend (Learn in a Weekend)1 review
Mary Gordon-Watson

Dorling Kindersley Publishers Ltd, 1996

Ridiculous
I'm sorry if it disappoints someone out there but it's not possible to learn to ride well in all of the tasks that this book presents in a single weekend. I have taught beginners for several years and can honestly tell you that even if they are doing everything right, their muscles will be so sore after a single hour that their riding will start to become sloppy. Assuming that a person has ...
