Legacy of Steel (Dragonlance Bridges of Time, Vol. 2)24 reviews
Mary H. Herbert

Wizards of the Coast, 1998

Absolutely Amazing!
What a wonderful Book. I recieved it, and read it cover to cover all in the same day! I don't usually do that, but what a damn good book. This story is centered around Sara Dunstan, whom is still grieving over her adopted son Steel Brightblade three years after the summer of chaos. In the begining, she is living as a exile from the Knights of Tahkisis, and is pretty miserable. Then she starts ...

Return of the Exile (Dragonlance: Linsha Trilogy, Vol. 3)3 reviews

Wizards of the Coast, 2005

Buy this book; Buy this Trilogy
This was a trilogy of books that I went into with a little bit of reluctance. Linsha Majere a Rose Knight, something that is a recent addition for the Majere household. However, this entire trilogy is awesome. There are unique characters, which have good story lines, and the ending I find, personally to be completely awesome.

Valorian's children1 review
Mary H Herbert

SFBC, 2000

Two great books in one
Valorian's Children is a Science Fiction Book Club omnibus edition of Dark Horse and Lightning's Daughter. Since both books are a relatively fast read, having the first two stories in this series in a single edition is comfortable and useful.

"Valorian's Legacy" is a "Science Fiction Book Club" omnibus edition of "City of Sorcerers" and "Winged Magic", the final two books of Mary Herbert's "Hunnuli" series. Gabria's daughter is now in the spotlight as a new magical threat faces the Clans. They must leave the Clan's home on the plains and venture into the city that created the Clans' belief that magic is inherently evil. But ...

Dark Horse (Tsr Books)9 reviews
Mary H. Herbert

Wizards of the Coast, 1990

A Future Classic!
Dark Horse is on par with early Anne McCaffrey and Mercedes Lackey stories, and contains many of the elemtnts that made both the Valdemar and Pern series popular. Magical black horses choose and accompany "good" mages, protecting them from evil magic and acting as advisor and friend. Dark Horse is the story of a young girl who is orphaned when her entire tribe is killed by a rival tribe that is ...

Winged Magic (Dark Horse Series)2 reviews
Mary H. Herbert

Wizards of the Coast, 1996

An enthralling story
I think the review could be "Hated the villian. Loved the hero's". An outstanding addition to the Dark Horse Clan Series with some surprising twists and turns to keep the reader involved.

Valorian5 reviews
Mary H Herbert

SFBC, 2001

The First Hunneli And His Master
Valorian is the first novel in the Dark Horse series, a prequel to the other volumes. "Five hundred years before before the time of Gabria, the mage-heroine of [the other novels], the last remnants of the once great Clans struggle to survive in the barren foothills west of the Darkhorn Mountains." They need to cross the mountains to the vast Ramtharin Plains, but the high peaks and Tarnish ...

The Clandestine Circle (Dragonlance Crossroads, Vol. 1)12 reviews
Mary H. Herbert

Wizards of the Coast, 2000

Linsha Majere, Knight of the Rose!
This has got to be one of the best Dragonlance novels I have ever read. Bar None! Linsha Majere is ordered my the Solmanics Clandestine Circle to get as close to Lord Bight as possible. They want to find out anything they can use to discredit him. Shortly after a ship crashed into the docks in Saction's harbor. Almost everyone on board the ship is dead. Having died of some foul disease that no ...

City of the Lost (Dragonlance: Linsha Trilogy, Vol. 1)4 reviews
Mary H. Herbert

Wizards of the Coast, 2003

Worth the read and then some!
This is one of the most engrossing Dragonlance novels I have read, outside of the core storyline. Linsha's character is well-developed and interesting, and the politics and intrigue of the book had me turning page after page. I can't wait for the next one! One suggestion for improvement: a map of the city and its immediate environs would have made the story easier to follow. Otherwise, nigh ...

City of the Sorcerers4 reviews
Mary H. Herbert

Wizards of the Coast, 1994

Great Book
All Along I kept wondering what she had in store for the Khulinin clan after all she kept leaving spaces open in the other books to remind you of them. I loved how in this book she answered that question and also spread out into the world of the other people on the plains besides the clans. I do feel the book was a bit sketchy in places.Gabrial I thought could be a little stronger then she was ...

Bertrem's Guide to the War of Souls, Volume Two (Dragonlance: Bertrem's Guide)2 reviews
Steven T. Brown, Mary H. Herbert, ...

Wizards of the Coast, 2002

Fairly entertaining but still a little bit half baked
This, apparently last book in the Bertrems Guide series was very much in the same tradition as the previous. This also consists of a lot of journals and reports duruing the time of the War of Souls storyline. Three authors have contributed to this one, Don Perrin, Mary H. Herbert and Stan!. Of the three authors I liked Mary's journals and reports best. I think that her little story about Sara ...

Bertrem's Guide to the War of Souls, Volume One1 review
Jeff Crook, Mary H. Herbert, ...

Wizards of the Coast, 2001

Better than Bertrem's Guide to the Age of Mortals
This book explored the War of Souls era, through the everyday peoples eyes. The front cover tells that it is the first volume of a series. That is of course not right. In fact there also were Bertrem's Guide to the Age of Mortals(which was terrible boring, to say the least), but this is much better. What i think makes it better is that the book consists of journals written by different ...

Flight of the Fallen (Dragonlance: Linsha Trilogy, Vol. 2)2 reviews
Mary H. Herbert

Wizards of the Coast, 2004

Interesting and adventures I like this book alot.
This book is good in that it's fast paced and funny Linsha is an adventuerus not so rule book morals as some characters you read about these days. Linsha works hard and isn't perfect so she's easier to understand than charecters that always do whats right. If your perfect frankly-you're boring.
