If I could only purchase one book on Vegas, this would be the one I'd choose. It was much more helpful then Las Vegas for Dummies and Fodor's Vegas.

Excellent for Vegas "rookies"!
I have been to Vegas numerous times and had a friend going for the first time in 20 years. Purchased the book for her and gave it to her prior to her trip. She LOVED it and I found it quite accurate from my experiences there. It's a great book for someone new to Vegas and it's very user friendly.

Thank goodness for this book-from a non-gambler!!
I recently took my family to Las Vegas. With young children we were not able to spend time in the casinos. I bought this guide and it helped me to plan the vacation which included details on nightlife, shows, and celebrity restaurants. The guide was easy to carry around and offered options that could fit into any budget. We found out that there was more to do in Vegas than gamble!

Old dogs can learn new tricks!
My husband travels to Los Angeles often for business so he knows a lot about the city but I went for the first time on his last trip. Since he was going to be in meetings a lot I was worried about being on my own so I bought this LA for Dummies guide and I'm so glad I did! It was fun to read and so informative - it even showed my husband the "LA expert" a few tricks. I totally recommend it!

Frommer's Las Vegas 2006 offers everything you want to know about Las Vegas - both good and bad. Having been there before, and having read a previous edition of Frommers Las Vegas, it is useful to get an updated perspective of the 'old' and 'new' hotels, attractions, dining, gambling and so much more. Frommers is the best guide on Las Vegas I have come across.
