All I can say is that being able to tell my story, along with the reunion with my son, brought me a closure to what I had been through that I could have never acheived without either event. I am truly gratefull to Mary, and the people my story has touched. If anyone wishes to talk about there situation I am more than ...

Let this book impact your life !!
What a find this book is!!! Having spent time this summer working on the Pine Ridge Reservation among the Lakota, I was thrilled to read a book containing not only historical facts, but "real life" detail. The joy, humor, sorrow, endurance, and faithfulness of this man of God (and those whose lives entwined with his) truly touched me. This book may be sucessfully used for historical, ...

A Wonderful Achievement!
Mary Ellen Miller and Simon Martin build upon their previous triumphs with this excellent volume. Mary Ellen collaborated with the legendary Linda Schele to co-curate The Blood of Kings exhibition and produce an exquisite catalogue in 1986. The exhibition was one of the seminal events in allowing the public, avocationals and their fellow scholars to witness the grandeur and magnificence of ...

All Too Real
This book is disgustingly realistic in it's portrayal of the drunken Punk Rock underworld, Ms. Martin's life, and and what is surely the L.A. band Popdefect. The scary part is that most or all of it probably really happened. Yikes!!

It's a terrific help to get me organized.
I wish I had gotten this book sooner. I have always been a slave to the paper tiger. The thing I like about this method is that it not only showed me what is important to hold on to and where to speciffically file things....but it also shows what NOT to keep and WHEN to throw it away. It sounds simple and IT IS! Thank you to the Martins for a great system.

Such a great book...
This is really a fabulous book, I have never read anything like it. It is suspenseful and thrilling, but not in that cheesy classic thriller way so many books are. There are lots of twists and turns, and it is fast-paced. The best part about this book is that it deals with deeper and more intellectual themes that most suspense novels never cover. What a great read, I HIGHLY recommend it!

Inviting children to converse with God
I was raised on Little Visits with God. My parents read them aloud after mealtimes, and we learned how to talk with our Heavenly Father after hearing the stories about children we could relate to. Now my own children are enjoying hearing stories about children who make mistakes, learn to ask for forgivness, have trouble sharing but learn to anyway, and learn what God's grace is all about. ...

This book is really four good books in one volume.
This is an excellent book for the quilter with one or more quilts under their belt. The four different authors provide different perspectives, design sense, and techniques, which I found valuable in developing my own style.

FANTASTIC...!
This absolutely is the best textbook on the market for preparing to teach preschool children. The quality of the book reflects the author's intense dedication to early childhood as a teacher, center director, and University professor. The book takes a much needed "how to" approach and is written in a clear and concise style. Beginning with understanding the characteristics of young children at ...

Visual History
"Lexington to Concord" is a marvelous book that provides a visual as well as narrative history of the events of April 19, 1775, when Paul Revere rode to Lexington and "the shot heard 'round the world" was fired. What makes this book unique is that every page is illustrated with Amos Doolittle's sketches, period postcards, and current photographs of historical sites. Continuing in time past the ...

Oxford textbook of public health, 4th Edition, 2002
This is a three volume "heavy" textbook, both in weight but certainly also in the scope of its content and the basis for learning public health from an international perspective. This fourth edition is dedicated to professor Walter W Holland, who was the original founding editor of the textbook first published in 1984. The present editors are affiliated with UCLA School of Public Health, ...
