E.D.C. Publishing, 1986

One of the best sources for Greek Mythology
This book is absolutly wonderful. I have had a copy of it for years and I don't know what I would do with out it. Not only does it give clear information about common Greek myths, but it also has a wonderful "Who's Who" section in the back. Perfect for looking up things easily.

Cheryl Evan, Anne Millard

E.D.C. Publishing, 1987

Excellent!!!
This is the book that drew me to Norse Mythology in the first place. The illustrations are absolutely beautiful, and the stories are all very good too. Heck, I would recommend this book on its illustrations (by Rodney Matthews, by the way) alone, but I don't have to. YOU NEED THIS BOOK!

Matthew T. Dickerson, Jonathan Evans

University Press of Kentucky, 2006

Fascinating read
Ents, Elves and Eriador is a fascinating book. Dickerson and Evans take the reader through Tolkien's work detailing the beloved author's environmental vision. While even a casual reader of Tolkien's writing will recognize that industrialization accompanied evil in his books, this book reveals the depth of his positive vision of the way Middle Earth works. They discuss the various ecologies that ...

excellent balance of depth and breadth
instant unix is well paced, and covers enough detail to be useful beyond the introductory level. I have read two other unix books of an introductory level and instant unix is far superior, and very well organized.
