Into the West
This was a wonderful miniseries, so I was very excited to read the book. The book was GREAT! It followed very closely with the movie and gave more insight into the characters and story line. An easy and enjoyable read!

Just like the movies... Awesome!
I absolutely live this book, it had me from the beginning to the end! It was pure Indian Jones from the movies. It had the adventure, the mystery, the romance, and the Indy humor just like the movies. If they were to make a movie from one the book series it would be this one!

Hellfire Canyon
Hellfire Canyon is the story of Jacob Gamble: outlaw, renegade and general trouble-maker. He is the archetypal western outlaw, with one exception: He is likable, and rather than the antagonist, he is the hero. The novel begins when three men trample into young Jacob's farmhouse and demand breakfast from his mother. They are confederate soldiers with a platoon of blue bellies hot on their ...

Crystal Skull Found in 1999 - Not 2008
This is the last of a series of books written after Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade and leading up to the Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. In order to make sense of these series of books, you need to read them in order. As near as I can make out, this is the order of the books: Indiana Jones and the Peril at Delphi (Indiana Jones, No. 1) Indiana Jones and the ...

deep intelligent thriller
In homage to the mythology's Persephone, every twenty-eight days, he captures a red haired beauty, takes his victims underwater to the ruins of Mineral City, and at the full moon completes the circle by killing his prey. An official missing person's investigation has led to the need of a specialized expert so underwater crime scene investigator Richard Dahlgren leads the inquiries. Bodies ...

Read this novel with your back to the wall
This is a weird, rich, and compelling take on the Wild Bill myth. It is one in which "time seem[s] unreal, as if each moment hung in the air far too long before fading reluctantly into the next." The plot gallops from tragedy to betrayal, morphing from one Hickokian nightmare to the next. The novel bristles with foreplay and gun play, all circling around a Civil War battle that rivals Stephen ...

Great Book
One of my favorite stories ever! Mccoy has magnificantly brought to life a western outlaw tale as if he was there firsthand.
Jesse: A Novel of the Outlaw Jesse James

Twain & James ... Magnificent!
While the novel doesn't shed any light on the ambiguity surrounding the death of the infamous Jesse James, the tale that Jesse weaves (purportedly to Mark Twain) leaves one feeling sorry if not compassionate for the outlaw, despite his nefarious deeds. Without having read any other biographical accounts of the life of Jesse James, I can only say that Max McCoy crafted a crisp, entertaining ...

Max McCoy has another winner!!
"Hinterland" by Max McCoy is another modern day thriller. In fact, it is very timely with our constant terrorist alerts and stories of secret hate groups on the edges of our society. If you liked "The Moon Pool" you will enjoy this latest novel from the pin of Mr. McCoy! If you are like me and enjoy knowing the size and color of that abandoned shoe in the photo of the crime scene--this one ...
