I agree, ADVANCE logic design book!!!
I have owned this book for 10 years now and have used it more as a reference than anything else. The authors tend to go a little overboard in trying to present the material as a mathematics subject. But once you get used to their notation (very computer science oriented not electrical engineering)the information they give in the alogrithm portion (last chapters) is hard to find anywhere else. ...

Good reference, poor for beginners
I began learning about hardware design with this book. Now I use it for reference. But for beginners, this is not a very good book. Although hardware design is somewhat difficult to explain, the book does not analyze subjects in detail or how circuits work. Too academic for engineers
This book has too many maths and not very intuitive. It has some fancy alternative algorithms never used in any designs. For engineers working on implementation, there are many other books far better than this one. The early review over-rates this book and is very misleading. Because of these reviews, I purchased this book and found it very disappointing.
