Highly recommended!
My 5-yr-old son and 2 1/2 yr old daughter love this! I love how this book teaches technic early in a very fun way. Concepts are easy to understand and the pieces are very nice. My son loves this book so much he plays everyday on his own. My daughter enjoyed learning technic and playing rhythm instruments along with the CD. A great beginner book for young pianist.

Excellent book
These piano arrangements sound great and my students love to play them. The duet parts for the teacher make it sound even better, and help the student to play in time. I've never seen my students so motivated to learn about classical music and the composers. They really enjoy this series.

Terrific beginner piano book for children
My son (age 8) has used the primer level of the Faber series for the past 6 months. I think it has a comprehensive and fun approach to teaching piano. He loves it as does his teacher.

I've been a music teacher for over thirty years and piano teacher for about ten. I've used many piano series but I think Faber & Faber put out the best ones. They reinforce techniques, lessons, theory within their series. I wouldn't use anything else.

I have used this book for teaching several adults. The selection of songs are very appropriate.The book covers a useful concept just about every page which helps with the lesson and teaching. The concepts are introduced at the right time too and go well with the pieces that accompany. I also hear good things about the CD. It's a nice well-organized compilation. The description was not accurate or informative enough on this product. It appears to be lessons 2 and 2a into one book, it is not. It does not match the theory book and is for accelerated students. I did not get what I thought I had ordered.

Not as it seems to be.
I purchased this from Amazon because it was advertised as the 1990 edition that my son is borrowing from his teacher. However, it is the revised edition from 1998.
The 1998 edition, being revised, is not the same as the 1990 edition, and therefore is missing some of the songs from the 1990 edition. One of the missing pieces is the one that my son is supposed to play at his ...

If you can play just little bit of piano, I suggest you buy at least
