Microsoft® Office Word 2003 Step by Step (Step By Step (Microsoft)) 8 reviews Online Training Solutions Inc.
Microsoft Press, 2003
Word 2003 Step by Step. Finally, a manual that helps! I've been using Word 2000 for years. I was finally able to get most of thr functions I needed to work, but it was a "try & try again" approach. The on line manual is helpful, IF you know what questions to ask. And most software has features you might not be aware of, and therefore can't use.
The Word 2003 Step by Step manual is wonderful. You can find what you want to do easily in the ...

Microsoft Windows Vista Step by Step 19 reviews Joan Preppernau
Microsoft Press, 2007
Useful book If you are new to Vista this is a must have book. Vista is super user friendly but is different from XP. The auto backup system is totally new and is covered in the book... Even if you are good with XP it is best not try to wing it with Vista.. Too many "gotchas" in Vista....
Book is well written for beginners and experts alike..

Microsoft Office Specialist Study Guide WORKS!!! Short Story Long... I was MCSE certified in the 90's, but through promotions and job transfers - I no longer needed it. Well, I am back at the starting gate again because of organizational restructuring. I started with the MOS certification.
In the 90's Microsoft Press sucked for study guides... Sybex and McGraw Hill were the ones that most people getting certified used. Well, times have ...

Microsoft Office Certifications I am a certified expert on Word 2002, and lately took a class at community college about what is new in Word 2007. I got hooked on the new Ribbon interface. I asked the teacher about any good books for the new certifications for Office 2007, and she recommended this one. This book is concise and direct. It is an excellent resource for anyone already familiar with Office who wants ...

Quick Course in Microsoft Word 2002: Fast-Track Training Books for Busy People 1 review Online Training Solutions Inc.
Online Training Solutions/Online Press, 2003
Excellent Training for Beginners This is a deceptively short (229 pages), remarkably rigorous and in-depth introduction to many of Word 2002's basic features. It gives you hands on examples of how to use these features and guides you through your first experience in doing them yourself. It forces you to explore different ways of accomplishing the same task so that you will have them in your arsenal when you are on your own. ...

Great Value - Especially for Beginners This book has been used time and time again by me for training novices, or people switching from 2000 to XP. One of it's most value features (valued by me and my students) is the "Quick Reference" section where you are quickly able to find answers to specific quetions without going through the entire "introductory" or "story" processes.
It is also a useful book for use on-the-job as a ...

Microsoft Windows XP Step by Step Deluxe, Second Edition (Step By Step (Microsoft)) 4 reviews Online Training Solutions Inc.
Microsoft Press, 2004
Setting the record straight! The previous review posted for this book is so negative and completely misleading. The book is full of practical examples, tips, and tricks for working smarter with Windows XP. It's especially useful for people (like me) who learn visually--there are a lot of graphics to help you find your way along, and to make sure you've done It's certainly a lot more than the 500-page printout of a Help ...

Microsoft Office System Step by Step -- 2003 eLearning Edition (Bpg Step By Step) 3 reviews Online Training Solutions Inc., Curtis Frye
Microsoft Press, 2004
Wonderful This is a wonderful beginner's book. It provides interactive training that the staff found enjoyable to review. They liked the ablility to click on the "Show Me" button and the software would show them how to perform a function. They also liked be able to go at their own pace and the ability to review a topic as many times as needed. You can't go wrong for the money.

Beginning Windows? This is the only book you need I got this for my 12 year old son and he has went through the whole book in 3 weeks. He uses the CD rom to work the assighnments and actually showed me several things I didn't know. It realy covers the system restore capabilities of windows well. I highly recomend it to anyone who is first time windows users. They need to make a level 2 to this book though.
