Given how dry a subject Accounting can be (especially for non-Accounting majors) - this book really was fantastic. Good Intro to Financial Accounting
I used this book in an MBA level accounting class. The course had no prerequisites, and was for beginners in the subject of financial accounting. The book is easy to read, nicely formatted, and has plenty of exercises. The book came with a CD and access to online support. Overall it's a good package.
