New Sensations For Horse & Rider: Introducing Voice Training
I saw the author giving a demonstration here in England with her horses, this was why I bought the book. I found it very easy to read and I loved the little stories that remind you things don't always go to plan when you are workng with horses,it has also tempted me to try my hand at driving. It is a very interesting book with lots of super photographs and I would really recommend it.

A delightful portrait of an illustrator's life
Bestall was illustrator of Rupert Bear, a popular set of cartoons for kids which appeared in Britain's Daily Express for thirty years. As such, many Americans may not find these family images; but any with a British background or knowledge will find them familiar far. Goddaughter Bott pieced together the life of her godfather and in LIFE AND WORKS provides a delightful portrait of an ...

Sylvia Woods has done it again!
This volume includes forty-six fun arrangements of familiar Lennon and McCartney tunes. All are arranged for both lever and pedal harp. Some have only a few lever or pedal changes, while others are more involved. Chord symbols, all the words, and a discography are also included. This volume is highly recommended for intermediate to advanced students and professionals alike.

Great Book - Great stories.
The only negative is the size of the book. There should be a smaller hardcover or paperback edition. The content is superb and a great coffee table book, but it's difficult to curl up with this book in bed.

every photo a story
Sun printing relies on natural sunlight to produce an image on paper brushed with a mixture of minerals. Linda's sunprints have a mystical & elusive quality & in this modern woman's perspective we see combinations of spontaneous poses with still backgrounds; overlays & tonal changes in cyan & sepia. Such gently detailed, whimsical & earthy sights of a boy print or an amarylis; a castle reflected ...

about time.
a criminally underrated musician , who handles bass lines as an integral part of the song, and at the same time makes them memorable. no matter what instrument you play, you can benefit a lot from any of the in depth song studies in this book. this is what bass playing is all about, power, melody and fun!.

Great!
I love this book, even though alot of the poems are songs that I've heard before, like "yesterday" and "maybe I'm amazed". I especially liked the poem he wrote for John (the title escapes me at the moment) and another called "jerk of all jerks". Overall, it's great, and I especially like the gold signature (on the normal version of the book).

British Vegetarian Recipes
I remember my best British meal like I ate it yesterday. It was October of 1993 and I'm driving a Peugeot from London to Bangor, Wales. I pull off the M6 in a town named Walsall, just north of Birmingham, and stop at a Balti shop operated by a Sikh "geez-ah". Everything I ate was made from scratch - mashed potatoes from real hand-peeled potatoes, fresh baked "nahn" bread (yummy!), and Walls ...

Excellently crafted musical tabliture!
This music book contains some of the McCartney repertoire. Both Beatles and solo matierial is included. It is especially unique because of the McCartney drawn pictures included. The guitar tabs are magnificent and it truly shows McCartney's musical diversity. I highly recommend this book for anyone interested in McCarney's music.

Lewisohn-McCartney
Has Paul McCartney finally found the writing partner to fill the void created by the breakup of his liaison with John Lennon? If "Wingspan" is anything to go by, then he may well have done so. Mark Lewisohn, the much-celebrated Professor Emeritus of Beatledom, proves himself to be the ideal sidekick to Macca, collaborating with the Great Man on a wonderfully informative book that leaves no stone ...

Well Done!!
What a unique and delightful compilation Linda has put together in this book. It has a very "homey" feel, very comfortable and relaxed. Linda definitely had a feel for the right moment to snap the picture - these are as natural as anyone could hope for. What a kick to see so many of these people when they were so young and still often unknown. The family photos are gorgeous and a rare treat. ...

McCartney is a musician, but his words are pure poetry...
This book looks like very little on the surface, especially if you know by heart (or own) the lyrics to many Beatles/McCartney songs. But this anthology is more than just lyrics, because the short selection of lyrics that were edited into this are ones that look and sound like poems. Actually there are many new (and many ones I had never read) poems in here, and most are not even songs ("Mother ...

Unpretentious Art!
Regardless of the high brow reviews of this book, I chose to purchase this book to see if this was another celebrity who found art and realized their celebrity could sell their art. Bottom line I had hoped that McCartney's personality would triuumph and his down to earth philoposphy would come through. Indeed it did and this is the first Unpretentious book on Art I have ever read. If anyone has ...

A Fresh View of John Lennon
John's sister, Julia Baird offers a unique perspective of John's life and his relationship with his Liverpool family. Other biographies merely gloss over John's family (with the exception of Mimi). I found out some interesting facts about the Stanley sisters. If you're a big John Lennon fan and you already know a lot of Lennon trivia, read this book for a fresh view point.(...)

Intense beauty in fleeting moments
She was, indeed, one of the best photographers of her generation. There is a terrific sense of reverence for the natural world in these photos, in which she demonstrates that nature provides the most satisfying, serene, and dramatic of images, if you look for them. And you need not travel to the Grand Canyon or the redwood forests to see them--looking out your back door, out the plane window, ...
