Statistics (Cliffs Quick Review)9 reviews

Cliffs Notes, 2001

Excellent
I am taking Stat 244 after taking the first class 5 years ago. I needed a review to catch up, but I am finding that this is much more comprehensible than the textbook and the instructor. Nice and straight forward... Makes you wonder why you need to spend $80+ for a used textbook in college when you can learn it more efficiently from this little guy... THANK YOU!!!!!!

Cliff's Graduate Record Examination General Test: Preparation Guide (Test Preparation Guides)1 review
Jerry Bobrow, Peter Z Orton, ...

Cliffs Notes, 1995

Not the only source, but helpful
The book provides a quick, ten-days like preparation for the GRE. If you want to get a reasonable score, you can use it but it should not be your only source. It provides three exams and their solutions, as well as some strategies for computer-based testing, but if you plan to take the CBT, you'd better try another source to practise. Overall, it is a reasonable book and you can get reasonable ...

Cliffstestprep Gre Cbt (Cliffs Preparation Guides)4 reviews
Jerry Bobrow, Jerry, Ph.D. Bobrow

Cliffs Notes, 2000

Great for review
This text provides an excellent overview of what to expect on the GRE. There is an example test in the back as well as varied levels of difficulty for each subsection. i.e. reading comprehension, algerbra, geometry. Best for the money for a quick review and not a lot of time on your hands. To provide a warning verbal on this test is difficult this text includes a breakdown of the most common ...

William A. Covino, Peter Z. Orton

Cliffs Notes, 1986

Fantastic Book. A must buy!
I loved this book! All your question you have about grammer are here! You might not know whether to use who or whom or when to use few or less. This book has a fantastic index also for when you want to touch up on certain subjects (i.e. who/whom). There are also some great vocabulary words in here. A must buy!

30 Days to the Sat (30 Day Guides)1 review
Rajiv N. Rimal, Peter Z. Orton

Arco Pub, 1996

Concise yet thorough review of the SAT. Funny, too!
This book makes preparing for the SAT fun, if you can imagine that! Authors, who are Stanford graduates, provide many examples of real test-like questions. You can tell a lot of thought has gone into this book The best thing about the book, though, are the test-taking strategies -- time-saving tips and insights that will make readers smart test-takers. Of the many books available in the ...

Cliffs Computer-Adaptive Graduate Management Admission Test: Preparation Guide4 reviews
Jerry Bobrow, William A. Covino, ...

Cliffs Notes, 1997

This book deserves a better sales ranking position!
Maybe it's not so fashionable as others like Kaplan, Princeton, Arco, etc. but this book is worth every dollar you invest on it. It has a thorough approach to GMAT subjects and it also has a lot of good questions -separeted by level of difficulty. It doesn't have a CD-Rom but that's why you should buy some more book(s) if you are intending to work even harder than Cliffs will make you work. If ...

GED, You Can Pass the GED (Cliffs Test Prep)1 review
Jerry Bobrow, Harold D. Nathan, ...

Cliffs Notes, 1995

Make sure it's published after '02!
There have been two editions published with this same title. One was published in 1989, and the other, in 1995. I own the 1989 edition, and found it to be helpful in preparing to take the GED test. The book (I assume both editions) is a good test of High School level (or slightly higher) knowledge. It has a "Working Toward Success" section, giving practice problems in all of the test ...

Cliffs law school admission test: Preparation guide (Cliffs Preparation Guides)3 reviews
Peter Z Orton

Cliffs Notes, 1989

Easy to Learn
In going through the book, the questions seemed complicated at first, but the book teaches you how to take the information and make a diagram and place all the information in proper order, this makes answering the questions very simple, (once you get the hang of it!).

California Basic Educational Skills Test: Preparation Guide (Cliffs Preparation Guides)21 reviews
Jerry Bobrow, Peter Z. Orton, ...

Cliffs Notes, 1983

Only book you need to buy!
I had this book shipped to me less than a week before the exam, and this is the only book I used to study for the test. I passed with a 183, and read this book front to back (more or less) in the few days before the exam. The example questions and answers are throughly explained, and are particularly helpful for the math section (if you're like me, and haven't taken a math class in many years). ...

Tasp Preparation Guide1 review
Jerry Bobrow, Robert Dixon-Kolar, ...

Cliffs Notes, Inc, 1991

Math section was very helpful.
I used this book to study for the MTEL, the teacher exam in Massachusetts (they don't have their own study guides). The math section was VERY helpful. I did not need help in the other areas of the test, so I skimmed over it, but it was useful as well.

Takes the stress out of the GRE process
I have gone crazy the last few weeks looking for a good GRE guide. I think I've found it at last. This book is concise and told me exactly what I needed to know to prepare for the test. The book's test-taking strategies have really helped me. Why wasn't I taught these things in high school?

LSAT (Cliffs Test Prep)4 reviews
Peter Z. Orton

Cliffs Notes, 2001

For my use it works, but don't use to study.
Right now I'm using 4 different books to prep for my LSAT. I've got the LSAT Kaplin book, which is the one that I'm really using to study. I also have a copy of Kaplin's 180 book, however that is for use in the future. I own a copy of the 10 Prep Tests, that book is very stright forward in it's use. I also have this book put together by the people at Cliffnotes. I use this book for one ...
