Buy this inspiring book!
I was familiar with Phil Borges' photography and knew I'd like this book, but it exceeded all my expectations. The photographs speak for themselves, and the text is inspiring and enlightening. I plan to purchase this book for all my family and friends. It is a beautiful book, full of hope and compassion.

Tibetan Portrait1 review
Phil Borges, Ronnie Sellers Productions

Ronnie Sellers Productions, 1999

interesting photography
it's a pity that even the cover is not shown here, the photographs featured are rather interesting in that they are generally black and white, but the subjects have a nice hue to them. this calendar is more of a collector's item than something nice to look at every month. a guaranteed great gift for anyone who is interested in buddhism and likes photography.

Tibetan Portrait 2004 Calendar: Faces of Compassion
Phil Borges, Ronnie Sellers Productions

Ronnie Sellers Productions, 2003

Phil Borges, an award-winning photographer from Seattle, traveled to Tibet, Nepal, and northern India where thousands of Tibetan refugees now reside. The images and text in this calendar are a testament to the Tibetans? courage and dignity, and reflects the nobleness of spirit that has come from their effort to treat even those who occupy their homeland with compassion.

Enduring Spirit4 reviews

Rizzoli International Publications, 1998

Extraordinary beauty from someone making a difference.
This book is a haunting collection of beautiful photos that are inspiring and provocative. We have been focusing on saving the environment and the animals for so long that we forget that there are entire cultures of human beings being removed from our planet. Borges has captured this in a manner that is not depressing, but inspiring and a tribute to the human spirit.
