Transplanted Canadian
I am a transplanted Canadian living in California and I love the Chicken Soup for the Soul books.When I found out about this one I had to have it and ordered it from the canadian Amazon.When I got it I immediately started reading it.I loved it.It was such a taste of home for me.It is a great book whether you are a Canadian or not.I would definitely recommend it.

This is a wonderful book--if you can still find it---to introduce you to this cloth and the people who weave it. The oversized book is full of color pages and goes through the evolution of the cloth to the meaning and names of the cloth. The book was put together as part of the UCLA Fowler exhibition in 1998. The catalogue for an exhibition held in 2007, this book shows a very large sample of Pettibon's output (high-quality reproductions) and the accompanying essays give a new insight on the artist and the importance of the written word in his work. Quite a number of books have recently been published on Pettibon and I would say that this one is the best available.
