A really good Apocalypse's story
This story has a lot of fights and drama, this tale is why I began to read X-men, the plot is similar to the cartoon serie's episode "one man's worth", but more interesting, the art is really good, and the pages has a lot of color for an old reprint, I think it is a must read.

High-profile project: somewhat fun *yet* wildly inconsistent
Here it is: Image creators return to Marvel- And they get to re-create the Marvel Universe! *The* biggest event of the mid-90s, it sold well, but had very mixed reactions critically speaking. Being a *big* Avengers fan I had high hopes, but this is an inconsistent effort... -A quick 12-issue breakdown: ------------------------------------- -1. The government-controlled Avengers find Thor in ...

A powerful climax to the 80's run of the X-Men and co.; sets the stage for the 90's and beyond
Magneto, Apocalypse, Sinister, the Hellfire Club, the Sentinels... the major arcana of X-Men foes, and yet there is one evil that ranks above even this rogues gallery of dark demigods: human fear and hatred of mutant kind. The Genoshan government is human bigotry toward mutants incarnate; all which Magneto had warned the rest of Homo sapiens superior against made real and localized to a tiny ...

Cap reborn, sort of
In the mid-90's, Marvel decided to conclude their much maligned Onslaught storyline with the deaths of many of their top tier heroes. The Fantastic Four, Captain America, Iron Man, and the rest of the Avengers, all bought the big one as their respective titles were canned and re-launched with a new direction (allegedly) as Marvel teamed up with Wildstorm (before they became part of DC) to produce ...

Decent, but Nothing More
Onslaught Reborn brings readers back to the "pocket universe" created by Franklin Richards, son of the Fantastic Four's Mr. Fantastic and Invisible Woman, to save some of the heroes from dying in the wake of Onslaught's destruction. For those that dont know, Onslaught was basically a deus ex machina used to reboot the Marvel Universe and trim away a lot of the fat so to speak that was created in ...

It was 1990, the dawn of the most action-packed decade in comic-book history, and one man - one time-traveling, gun-toting, mutant cyborg mercenary - was there to lead the way! Opening with a one-man assault on the Mutant Liberation Front, Cable finds himself haunted by the failures of both past and future (not necessarily in that order), converging on him at once in the form of his doppelganger Stryfe! The secrets of the Six Pack and the quest ...

Graphic SF Reader
A compilation of some issues of the end of Youngblood it seems, with cameos out the wazoo. Savage Dragon, Supreme, and others. A mystical storybook that can change history is at the heart of the mystery, and allows some homages to dc and old characters galore, as well as for Moore to make some comments about the state of comics at the time. There is some really nice work by Gil Kane in the ...

A must have for X-fans.
X-Men Essentials vol. 8 contains nearly 2 dozen X-books at a low price, this is a must have for any X-fan. But, like all Essentials the comics are all in black and white, hence the low price. This collection covers the time during the mid to late 80's when the X-Men were believed dead, hiding out in the Outback trying to fight the good fight. It also contains one of the major X-overs of the ...

It seemed so cool at the time!
Much like stone-washed jeans, or that mullet I - I mean, some people - sported in high school, it is difficult trying to explain the appeal of Rob Liefeld's artwork 15 years later. It's obvious now that he had a problem drawing accurate anatomies, dealing with perspective, and that Cable's head shrank a little each issue while his arms and guns kept getting bigger. But at the time, Liefeld's ...

Product update.
I also had pre-ordered this here (unfortunatly, Amazon cancelled the order since the item was still late). Anyhow, I asked Rob Liefeld when it would be out on 04-25-08 and he replied "Finally leaving for the printer next week! Should arrive in June!" So there is the most recent update, straight from the man himself. I still look forward to the book & plan to reorder it when it becomes available.

Ugh....
Because his X-Force mini-series relaunch wasn't enough macho mutant mayhem, Rob Liefeld returns once again with this X-Force mini. Taking place right after the events of X-Force: The Legend Returns, X-Force: Shatterstar focuses on, well, Shatterstar. Cable is dead (yeah, sure he is) and Shatterstar is up against mutant assassins and...well, something to that effect. You see, the overall ...
