reading and drinking--a match made in heaven!
With wine so "in" right now, it's hard to find books that get beyond the what-to-order-with-fish stage without being snooty. That's why Doug Frost is great--he knows EVERYTHING about wine, but he presents information in a way that is accessible and even fun. He even pokes some gentle fun at wine snobs. This book covers history, styles, tastes and aromas, regions, and, yes, what goes with food. ...

A fine edition of a great American Voice.
Robert Frost is a unique American voice that many people love. A few reject him, but the majority of those whom he was writing for still love and admire his poetry. His fans always have favorites and can quote lines and whole poems from memory. When a poet gets into people's memories and hearts it is not a sure sign of greatness, but it is a good indicator of something special. In some ways ...

CAN'T THINK OF A BETTER BOOK TO INTRODUCE A YOUNG ONE TO FROST
This book is quite well done and gives a good representation of Frost's work. It of course in an introduction and the poems chosen hit the nail on the head. The illustrations are great and well fit the poem being addressed. There is a very nice introducion in the form of a simple biography of Frost in the front of the book which is quite useful. The addited comments by the Editor are quite ...

content was fine, quality of book was not.
I purchased this book because I love Robert Frost's poetry. I got the hardcover so it would be worth keeping on a bookshelf. The print was blurred in several places, there was no index by first lines, and the cover was disappointing. I expected for $30.00 a nice quality binding. Not worth the money, especially when comparing to a copy of Thoreau's "Faith in a Seed" which was $21.00 and very ...

A Fitting Tribute to America?s Greatest Poet
Robert Frost has been one of my favorite poets since I watched him attempt to read a poem on a sunny, crisp morning at John F. Kennedy's Presidential Inauguration. Although I have only owned this book for only a few months, it is already littered with Post-it notes marking the location of my favorite poems. I am told this is the only comprehensive volume of Frost's 11 published books. Edward ...

Epitome of GREATNESS!
Robert Frost is my favorite American poet. My favorite poem written by him is "Stopping By Woods on a Snowy Evening." This poem is generally overlooked, because people tend to associate "The Road Not Taken" with Frost. Both are great, but "Snowy Evening" is better, I think! For anyone who is a Robert Frost fan, this book is a nice addition to any library, and a nice edition to have.

The Road Not TakenUntermeyer's Invitation
It could be said that art, including poetry, should never be taught, only presented. A sure death knell to reader endeavor is having an artist's work forced on reluctant subjects at very young ages. Frost's universal appeal and critical success made him a favorite of the pedantic, institutional teaching of the 50's and 60's. His late-life ties to Kennedy?s Camelot made the situation worse, as ...

There are more Robert Frost collections out than there are Robert Frost poems, but this is the only one you need to have. It's complete, unabridged and with numbered lines all the way through for reference work. THE Frost collection, bar none.

Mother's Love
As a child my mother read from this book to me and to my father. She need not have read much as she memorized many of the poems and can recite them now, though well past her 90th year. I have given this book to many of my friends and consider it a gift of love and inspiration.

Covers many aspects of basics in music
This book is good for beginners from age 6 and above. It covers almost all basics in music notation, and progress at an easy pace throughout the book. Selection of music is nice, though sometimes I came across a few other adaptations and variaty in other books. I am a violin teacher, and I highly recommend this book as teaching material for new beginners to music.

Great introduction to Applied Kinesiology
Robert Frost's AK manual is lean and to the point. It gives the history of AK, how AK is used in Europe and the USA, theory into the mechanisms of the reflexes used in AK, basic therapeutic procedures with explainations, and clear diagrams of the basic muscle tests and the appropriate reflexes. A perfect complement to the 100 hour course. I recommend this book to any student or practioner in ...

I have read this book in Japanese translation. Compact, lucid,Biblical and penetrating. A Japanese Reader

An excellent issue, with one 4.5 story, and one dodgy one, ending with McAuley's rather cool underwater adventure. There's a rather epic Spinrad book review cum column, that espouses upon some small press and French books including a Di Filippo novel called Ciphers which is apparently replete with rock 'n roll jokes. That can't be bad. A couple of quotes :- "Years ago, Ron Busch, ...

A Quiet Poet
Robert Frost is not as impressively artistic as other readers might be, but his quiet unassuming style suits the nature of his poetry, and emphasizes how well this consummate poet uses rhyme and rhythm without ever breaking natural speaking patterns to do so. The two cassettes include the poems everybody studies and memorizes. "The Road Not Taken," " Fire and Ice," "Stopping by Woods on a ...

Animation artist turns illustrator
The poem is a bit of an odd duck for kids, since it describes the exploits of a drunken cow--but the illustrations should charm its intended audience. Dean Yeagle's designs for this book are animated, beautifully drawn and not at all serious. This book is a must-have for animators and collectors of cartoon art.

Highly recommend
This is among a dozen classic books to anchor one's search for the fullness of the Holy Spirit. Has impacted thousands of lives. When I went to seminary I was wonderfully surprised to find he was on the faculty since his book had already impacted my life. His class had a unique richness of God's touch.
