I Have To Go! (Classic Munsch)13 reviews
Robert N. Munsch

Annick Press, 1989

Take a munch out of this Munsch!
This is one of Robert Munsch's best books. It deals with a subject every kid must face: having to go pee at the worst imaginable times. It is a very effective cacophony of laughs, that everyone can enjoy. I ain't in the single digit ages no more, but this is still a highly enjoyable gem of Canadian literature. Best read through Munsch's audio cassette narration. He's such a believable storyteller.

this is my favorite book
My name is Rachel. I am 6 years old. I love Moira's Birthday because it is so funny. The funniest part is when the entire school including kindergarten come rushing in the door to Moira's birthday party. The part when Moira orders 250 pizzas and cakes is hilarious. It makes me laugh. My whole family laughs. I also like other books by the same author.

Robert N. Munsch

Annick Press, 1999

Wonderful Books
When I was in Canada a few years ago I bought a copy of "Murmel, Murmel, Murmel"--in fact I bought three copies! I had never heard of Munsch before, but this little book ("Murmel . . .") caught my eye because it is about a little girl who finds a baby who can only say "Murmel . . .", and the little girl tries to find someone to care for the baby. At the time, my granddaughter was in foster ...

Jonathan Cleaned Up -- Then He Heard a Sound: or Blackberry Subway Jam (Classic Munsch)1 review
Robert N. Munsch

Annick Press, 1981

Great children's book for subway lovers
Silly and fun. Every child will love the story about poor Jonathan who couldn't clean his room thanks to the crowds of people leaving the subway station that was magically connected to it. The illustrations are wonderfully rendered.

Robert Munsch is a funny author with an easy style for the kids to master. If they learn to read one book they can read them all. Parents and teachers won't mind re-reading it over and over again. The illustrations are great, and the humor is funny. This author goes crazy with a sleepwalking dad. Do it yourself Heroine!
This is a princess after my own heart! I love all of Robert Munch's books and this is my very favorite. The illustrations are terrific and the princess is a girl who doesn't need to wait around to be rescued, she shows how even a princess can take care of herself.

Love You Forever741 reviews
Robert N. Munsch

Firefly Books, 1995

Must Have for Any Kid's Library
This is the second time I've purchased this book. I gave my first copy away to my stepson as a Father's Day gift. I know it says "Kid's Library", but I consider it just as essential for Grandma's Library. Only one caution. Read it to yourself before you read it to a child. It's a real tear-jerker if you don't know what's coming. My friend handed it to her husband who had never seen it before and ...

Munschworks 3: The Third Munsch Treasury4 reviews
Robert N. Munsch

Annick Press, 2000

Munschworks Rocks!
Robert Munsch is my classes favorite author! He is a really funny man.He tackles really strange topics(farts, peeing, etc) and has my class in hysterics. He is a wonderful author for teaching classes to read. He has a lot of predictable text in his books so the classes can read along. One of the nicest things about Robert Munsch is the fact he answers the children's letters. I have written to ...

Get Out of Bed kept us laughing during storytime for weeks!

Purple, Green and Yellow10 reviews
Robert N. Munsch

Tandem Library, 1999

Purple, Green and Yellow childhoods.
I loved this book! It takes me back to the days when I myself would beg my mom for markers / crayons / colored pencils, then promise not to color of things that shouldn't be colored on only to go ahead and color on myself or my brothers. Robert Munsch himself is just a genius with words. When you read one of his books i'ts like you can almost hear him reading it along side you. I was fortunate ...

Millicent and the Wind (Classic Munsch)1 review
Robert N. Munsch

Millicent and the Wind
I liked this book a lot because it is a neat story about making new friends. Millicent lives high in the mountains and becomes friends with the wind. I won't tell you what happens --- you need to read it. Enjoy it. Jacob age 5 and almost three quarters (with help from his mom).

David's Father (Classic Munsch)5 reviews
Robert N. Munsch

Annick Press, 1983

Perfect book for children and parents dealing with adoption
This has always been one of my son's favorite bedtime stories. It doesn't hurt that his name is also David. Like the David in the story, he doesn't look exactly like his parents. Like the David in the story, that doesn't bother him. While I wouldn't go so far as to say that this book will comfort all children struggling with identity issues related to adoption, I would say that it delivers an ...

Stephanie's Ponytail54 reviews
Robert N. Munsch

Tandem Library, 2003

One of the best
Munsch has written many great books with the theme of non-conformity, and this is one of them. My 2.5 year old daughter absolutely LOVES this book. It does get boring to read, with all the repetition, but the pictures are funny and the message about individuality is perfect. WARNING: The "Annikins" version is tiny! It will get lost in your home, buy the bigger version.

The Boy In The Drawer (Classic Munsch)5 reviews
Robert N. Munsch

Annick Press, 1982

Very Entertaining
My 5-year-old picked this book up at the library and thoroughly enjoyed it. He found it "very funny." The story is about a little girl who finds an ornery little boy in her sock drawer. The little boys goes about the house creating messes that she has to clean up. It's a very cute, imaginative story. Although the reading level is listed as 9-12, younger kids will enjoy the story, too.

Thomas' Snowsuit (Classic Munsch)15 reviews
Robert N. Munsch

Annick Press, 1989

Laughing out loud about Thomas' Snowsuit
After 27 years of teaching K-1 before retirement, I became a pretty good judge of what children would enjoy listening to. The fact that these adults - parent, teacher, principal - that are almost "hallowed" in the lives of elementary school children are the ones having the over-the-top tantrums makes it all the more hilarious. My students loved this book and laughed out loud all the way through ...
