Embracing Autism: Connecting and Communicating with Children in the Autism Spectrum6 reviews

Jossey-Bass, 2008

Fantastic!
Embracing Autism, by Robert Parish and Friends, is a fantastic read. As an adult sibling of a brother with autism there are many stories and emotions in this book which I can relate to. I found myself laughing and crying within the same story. I am so pleased that there is a book which presents different points of views and levels of autism. I would highly recommend this book.

The all-Americans1 review
James Robert Parish

Arlington House, 1977

Clean-Cut stars from the Golden Age of Hollywood
It seems James Parish churns out far too many books. However, his series of books dealing with films and stars of the Golden period of Hollywood are absolutely indispensible for movie buffs. Anyone old enough to remember the old (now defunct) film magazine, ''Films in Review'', will recall the magazine's monthly career article on stars which covered their films in detail. The article was ...

The Hollywood Book of Breakups21 reviews

Wiley, 2006

The Encyclopedia of Breakups
James Robert Parish has always had the ability to cut right through the froo-froo icing and get right to cake. That's why so many of his books are on my shelf. With this one, I have to start a new shelf. He packs in a lot of information: mini bios of all the players, what brought them together and the circumstances that drove them apart. He brings each era alive, mentioning timely rumors and ...

Whitney Houston: The Biography4 reviews
James Robert Parish

Aurum Press, 2003

Just when you think you know it all
Whitney Houston is rarely out of the tabloids, so it is tempting to think one knows all there is to know about her. Leave it to Mr. Parish to get beyond the headlines with a fascinating look at this major talent. It is a well-researched look at Whitney Houston, her family (esp mother Cissy) and an era of pop music in which she came of age. From the projects to mansions we follow every step of ...

The Fox Girls1 review
James Robert Parish, John Robert Cocchi

Arlington House, 1971

Essential reference work from one of the most prolific writers on Hollywood currently working
James Robert Parish is the only writer I can think of, off the top of my head, who's more prolific than alternate-history author Harry Turtledove. I've lost count of how many books he's written, but I feel certain I have about a dozen of his titles in my library, and I also feel certain I can give all of them my strong recommendation, including this one. _The Fox Girls_ is one of about half ...
