Great for shelf board exam
When I took the shelf board, my jaw dropped - it was as if the board came straight out of this book. Concise, but loaded with information. Lacks only info on immunizations and milestones, but these can be found anywhere.

Birders will find in Steve Russell's chapter with its useful tabular checklists perhaps the most valuable print resource available treating the avifauna of this site.

There is a typical cheesy intro, a bunch of "exercises" to do, a picture of how to do pushups (but the form is not 100% as depicted). Of the few sources I looked through, this one was the best bang for the buck. Unlike others in the PreTest series most of these questions are either similar to the shelf or very helpful to your learning. I only wish I had discovered it sooner and gone through it twice.
