Not a self study book
This book is not meant for self study, it is intended for college level instruction. This is the book I used when I took Russian in college. The publisher has a website with downloadable videos to aid the text. The lessons inside the book are great, but not intended for self study.

Perfectly adequate textbook
I used this textbook in the second half of an intensive Russian class I took in college. (Used Golosa Book 1 for Russian 1.) It follows the standard textbook format: Each chapter introduces a grammatical concept and new vocabulary. the only book i should have had during pregnancy
during my pregnancy, i drove myself crazy trying to learn everything that i could about what was happening in my body and the differences between conventional medicine approaches vs complementary med. i could have saved myself a lot of trouble by only reading this book and spending the rest of my time doing yoga and walking the dog. :-)

A very good book for Natural Therapy Basics
I found this book very informative on different therapies for common problems - some of them which i wasn't even aware of. I bought it as a novice for herbal remedies and aromatherapy but am now learning Tai Chi from a professional and practice my Yoga. It is a very good book for those interested in natural healing processes.
