Owls: The Silent Hunters (Animals in Order) 1 review Sara Swan Miller
Franklin Watts, 2000
A Hoot To Read! This is a fine starter series for kids interested studying different animals. Owls: The Silent Hunters is our most recent read with the wonderful and interesting Animals in Order series. I have to say, my kids (and I) just can't get enough of these...they are such fun reading! What I like a great deal about this series (and it's held for more than 10 books now) is that it takes time at the ...

Three More Stories You Can Read to Your Dog 4 reviews Sara Swan Miller
Houghton Mifflin, 2001
Two dewclaws up! The illustrations capture the spirit of the stories, and stories themselves capture the spirit of dogs. My dog enjoyed the first story because the word "Walk" was prominent. But I think children would enjoy it even more. I can't wait to read it to my friends.

Central Park, An American Masterpiece: A Comprehensive History of the Nation's First Urban Park 5 reviews Sara Cedar Miller
Harry N. Abrams, 2003
A book as worthy as the park it celebrates Sara Miller has put together an outstanding book: a book as vast and detailed as the Great Park itself. For those not familiar with the park and its history, this is an invaluable introduction to the political, demographical, economic and, especially, aesthetic thinking that went into the creation of 800 acres of gorgeous park space in the middle of Manhattan. For those seasoned veterans of NYC ...

Three Stories You Can Read to Your Dog 6 reviews Sara Swan Miller
Houghton Mifflin, 1997
Terrific book for all ages and species - What a terrific book! It is ideal for the pet lover, the low-confidence reader, or the Reading Education Assistance Dogs ("See Spot Read" program) Although billed as a children's book, the subtle humor and great illustrations make it a winner for adults as well. I need to buy "Stories you can read to your cat" as well.... wonderful author, great illustrator, an absolute riot.

Tying the Knot: The Complete Wedding Organizer (Personal Organizers) 20 reviews Sara Miller, Karen Berman
Peter Pauper Press, 2005
Need help? I was very overwhelmed by papers, receipts, brochures, pictures, etc... being all over the place. The pockets on this binder really helped to keep that all together. I really love the different sections, they allowed me to organize my stuff into sections and made it easy to find stuff when I needed it most. I kept phone numbers handy right at the front of the binder of the companies involved and ...

Three Stories You Can Read to Your Cat 7 reviews Sara Swan Miller
Houghton Mifflin, 1999
You can read it to yourself, too! THREE STORIES YOU CAN READ TO YOUR CAT is really three stories: The Rainy Day, The Yummy Bug, The Good Day. The book is obviously meant for kids to read aloud. But you can read it to them, too. And you and the kids can practice "acting" during the dialogue. Each story is separate and complete -- and hilarious! The action captures the cat's personality. And the brightly colored illustrations are ...

True Bugs: When is a Bug Really a Bug our fifth experience with the wonderful and interesting Animals in Order series...what can I say, my kids just can't get enough of these! Seahorses, Pipefishes, and Their Kin (Animals in Order) 1 review Sara Swan Miller
Franklin Watts, 2003
Good for a curious child, but not for an aspiring aquarist I was very disapointed with this book. I thought I was getting a guide that would teach me about the care of pipefish and seahorses, but instead I got a "learning to read" childs book. This product would be great for a child who wants to learn about odd fish, but is not designed for aquarium keepers or even curious adults at all.
