Trap Door by Sarah Graves
This is another episode in the lives of Ms. Graves characters in Eastport, Maine. I found myself giggling over some of Jacobia Triptree's actions and reactions in this book. The mystery in this story had me not wanting to stop reading and when I did, wondering what would happen next. It is a very good read. I would recommend reading the series of books in order because the characters develop ...

She moved into a fixer-upper that even years later still needs repair, had to make accommodations with her ex-husband who left a thriving medical practice to be near his ...

Book of Old Houses
The fictional world created by Sarah Graves in her Home Repair is Homicide series is one of my favorites. I enjoyed this book, as I have every book in the series so far. In fact, after I read this one, I started the series over again.

Another Excellent Entry in This Series
This is the fourth entry featuring Jacobia Tiptree, former Wall Street financial advisor, recently retired to the small Maine town of Eastport. There she has purchased a fixer-upper, which at times, seems to be haunted, but certainly has a history. After an unknown person has plunged to his almost-certain death off the cliffs, she has to deal with a visitor from the City whom she may or may not ...

Home Sweet Home!
I love this author's books, for several reasons. (I don't mind commas, they make reading easier for me.) First, I live in a rural township with less than 25 full time residents. My closest post office is in Dennysville, five miles away, and I drive through the Cobscook Bay WildLife Refuge on my way to work in Lubec, where the mythical butcher was killed at the end of this mystery. Sure, you could ...

Intrigue Galore
This humorous mystery was a delight to read. Graves does well in the complexity of the plot and hair-raising scenarios. Grusome without going too far. An array of interesting characterters you will care about. Although I pride myself in figuring out mysteries, I didn't guess the ending in this case. This book is a BUY.
