The Adobe Photoshop CS3 Book for Digital Photographers (Voices That Matter) 88 reviews Scott Kelby
New Riders Press, 2007
A simple, yet seriously effective book! This book has re-inspired me as a photographer. I have been a semi-pro photographer for about 10 years now. I dodged the digital revolution for more years than I should have. I only got into it in 2005. Before that I wouldn't even look at going digital. Until now I only used Photoshop for basic photo editing because other books I had bought just made the subject complicated. This book ...

The Photoshop Elements 6 Book for Digital Photographers (Voices That Matter) 32 reviews Scott Kelby, Matt Kloskowski
New Riders Press, 2008
the Photoshop Elements 6 Book Finally I tried a Scott Kelby book. Now I know why I keep hearing about him. He fails to committ the annoying habit of giving a new learner 90 ways to do the same thing. And, he is clear, to the point. I can even follow what he says and get good results. This is a super good book for anyone struggling with Elements.

The Digital Photography Book 465 reviews Scott Kelby
Peachpit Press, 2006
Great how-to (cheesy) Great how to without tons of theory. Just good advice.
Super cheesy chapter introductions, but not overly distracting, and overall an excellent book for the beginner and intermediate photographer.

The Photoshop CS2 Book for Digital Photographers (Voices That Matter) 184 reviews Scott Kelby
New Riders Press, 2005
Best Photoshop book for Photographers I've used dozens of Photoshop books over the past 15 years and this is the best because it is informative but more importantly it is designed to be easy to read with useful projects dedicated to every page with big color pictures. Tips are good and because of the well-designed layout of the book they are always easy to find. Only bad thing is the intros to each chapter which are moronic and try ...

The Mac OS X Leopard Book 1 review Scott Kelby
Peachpit Press, 2008
Fantastic!! This book like of of Scott's prior writings is the perfect size and is on a level when anyone can sit down find what they want and get back to what they were doing. Even if reading it as book instead of as a reference it is set up in short chapters so that nothing feels overwhelming. It might be a good idea to have some paper and a pen to takes notes though.

Adobe Photoshop Lightroom Book for Digital Photographers,The (Voices That Matter) 82 reviews Scott Kelby
New Riders Press, 2007
Deinite company book for LR LR is a very powerful editing program for photographers but not the most intuitive program, however. I tried the beta version initially but decided to give another try of 1.3.1. This book really helps to bring the best out of LR.
Even though I have PS CS3, I am using LR almost exclusively now because this book teaches me how to organize photos, setup libraries, export photos at various ...

Scott Kelby's 7-Point System for Adobe Photoshop CS3 (Voices) 70 reviews Scott Kelby
Peachpit Press, 2007
Can't believe the results I am getting!!! This book is different than any other "how-to" book I have ever seen. You download lesson pictures off Scott's website and you do what he does with each picture. It is like you are sitting in the same room. You follow his plain English directions-with pictures--and you do the exact things he is doing in the book and you end up with amazing pictures...I never knew learning Photoshop could be ...

Photoshop 7 Down & Dirty Tricks Again, another Photoshop 7 book by Scott Kelby, my favorite expert. Like all his other books, this one is informational and easy to follow. It has effects that are ones you will use when making photoshop art as well as information to improve ordinary photographs. Photoshop is such an amazing program that keeps surprising me with effects I have not discovered. This book is another that teaches ...

The Photoshop Book for Digital Photographers (VOICES) 92 reviews Scott Kelby
New Riders Press, 2003
Must have for beginning photoshop users This is quite possibility the best photoshop book I have ever read. Does it cover everything in great detail? No, it doesnt, but then again, that is NOT the purpose of this book. The purpose of the book is similar to a cookbook: If you want to accomplish 'A', the do steps 1-12.
After reading this book (twice) I have pitted my skills against a friend that is a professional graphics designer with ...

The Photoshop Channels Book 53 reviews Scott Kelby
Peachpit Press, 2006
Accessible, concise information Scott Kelby uses an easy style to get the information he wants to present across to the reader. It may not be for everyone but it made the material more accessible for me. I was able to quickly absorb a lot of information. I read the entire book first and now I am going back and doing the excersizes. I have been using Photoshop for several years but I have not used channels until now. Recommended.

The iPhone Book: How to Do the Things You Want to Do with Your iPhone (One-Off) 17 reviews Scott Kelby, Terry White
Peachpit Press, 2007
Easy to use, full of little gems While the interface of the iPhone is so beautiful and well thought-out that using it is mostly intuitive, there were still a few things that stumped me. Thankfully, the iPhone Book set me straight in about 4 seconds. One of the reasons I like the book so much is that it's set up with one topic and one photo per page, although many pages have additional tips as well. All those screen shots of the ...

Adobe Photoshop CS Down & Dirty Tricks 47 reviews Scott Kelby

Useful tips and tricks This is not an in depth instruction manual for Photoshop CS. This does give the inexperienced user of Photoshop quick and easy tips for creating a variety of useful projects. Many of these projects will expose the new user to some of the powerful tools of Photoshop. If you want to learn all of the features of Photoshop then buy a more technical book or take a Photoshop course. So to get a start ...

The iPod Book: Doing Cool Stuff with the iPod and the iTunes Store (4th Edition) 11 reviews Scott Kelby
Peachpit Press, 2007
Very Informative This is an excellent book for iPod owners. It very simply presents each topic on a separate page with a color photo at the top.
For another excellent book, take a look at iPod Fully Loaded. This book is great! It tells you exactly how to put virtually anything onto your iPod. These two books are all you need. Buy them both.
