Finally I tried a Scott Kelby book. Now I know why I keep hearing about him. He fails to committ the annoying habit of giving a new learner 90 ways to do the same thing. And, he is clear, to the point. I can even follow what he says and get good results. This is a super good book for anyone struggling with Elements.

This book teach high end skill of photoshop especially for portrait..
It skip all of basic technique,, so it is not for beginner. BUt the skill they tecah is very useful,, althought it take time to digest and absorb it into your own style..

Fantastic!!
This book like of of Scott's prior writings is the perfect size and is on a level when anyone can sit down find what they want and get back to what they were doing. Even if reading it as book instead of as a reference it is set up in short chapters so that nothing feels overwhelming. It might be a good idea to have some paper and a pen to takes notes though.

Accessible, concise information
Scott Kelby uses an easy style to get the information he wants to present across to the reader. It may not be for everyone but it made the material more accessible for me. I was able to quickly absorb a lot of information. I read the entire book first and now I am going back and doing the excersizes.
