Best Dinosaur book of all time
My fiance bought this book for my son (5 at the time) for Christmas 2 years ago. Despite the fact that he got a multitude of other, more expensive presents, it was his favorite book. He was just learning to read (he was halfway through kindergarten), but he read the book obsessively. It went everywhere with him - to school, to bed, to daycare, out to playtime. He literally *loved* the first ...

Very Informative yet Kid Friendly
This book is so colorful and easy to read that all of my children, even my son who doesn't like to read, picked up this book on their own and read it before I did. The content was well presented and is helpful for any study of rocks and minerals. There is informatian there that I didn't even know.

Bohr Isn't Boring!
Science teachers have a large number of stories - some true, some apocryphal, and some somewhere in between - to regale their students with. We have Einstein's demands of the deity concerning dice, Rutherford's booming voice that trashed lab apparatus, Oppenheimer's Indian verse quoting at Trinity, and Teller's strangelovian life among others, but no good stories from the life of Niels Bohr. ...

Excellent Desert Book!
WOW! It has everything: plants, animals, experiments, people, places, etc! Nice color drawings but real ones would have been the sprinkles on the icing! Right amount of info and pictures. Excellent resource for reports (elementary), projects and home schools.

A Great Way for Kids to Learn About Ants!
My 7-year-old son just loved this book. He got it a couple of days ago and asked us to read it to him several times. Now he reads it to us. He is just so fascinated with it. It has prompted him to draw his own pictures of ants and other insects that are written about in the book. It is told in interesting way that is well illustrated, easy to understand and lots of fun to read. My son ...

Great book!!
I was rather surprised that such a good book has no reviews yet and felt that I must write one. I got this book from Toys'r'us for my daughter after flipping through the pages for a couple of minutes. I was expecting a yet another one that repeats interesting facts about the human body. I still got it hoping this will trigger kids' curiosity to learn more. That's what the other two books I ...
