I used this book in a unit study about the North Americans with my daughter. We appreciated how the book was presented, with little blokcs of information and good pictures, as well as the little blocks entitled, "Did you know?" Very Entertaining and Informative!
We thoroughly enjoyed this book during our unit study of the Vikings. I read the whole book aloud to my 8yo daughter and 5yo son over the course of several days. They found it fascinating and so did I. This book is sooooooo informational! It rocks! It has a lot of info on everything about Greece! It has alot of great pictures of artifacts. It also has pictures of Gods and/or Godesses fighting mythical creatures. I REALLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK!

In typical Usborne fashion this book covers the building of the Egyptian pyramids with a thourough body of facts and intricate illustrations for children. The reading level is around fourth grade and up but it would be a great read-aloud for second to third graders as well. Love it!
Most of the time, girls don't like knights, but when I bought this as a present for my cousin, I wanted one for myself. it was neat to learn about knights and everything they did and what stuff meant that they did. I would recommend that every kid learn about knights using this kit!

Great history activity for youngsters
This book contains six one-page size puzzles. The pictures are much like the front cover. My 5-year-old loves this book, but I think all early elementary age kids would enjoy this (if they like puzzles!). I think there is also an Ancient Egypt puzzle book made by the same company.
