FANTASTIC LIGOTTI ADAPTATIONS
Thomas Ligotti is really one of the best-kept secrets in the horror field. He's almost a throwback to supernatural writers of days gone by who could scare you without having to resort to blood & guts. Besides that, Ligotti is a fellow Detroiter and I've recently found we attended the same college, Wayne State University. He must be a great guy! Fox Atomic Comics has released an original graphic ...

Great art with substantial storyline leaving you wanting more...
I've been collecting comics for almost 2 decades now and I can say this about the new firestorm book. It is, without a doubt, a very thought provoking storyline that does more than just do SMASH! BANG! BOOM! and other stereotypical comic tales. It includes abuse, horror of what the powers can do, as well as having to take on the "baggage" from the previous incarnation / predecessor of this ...

I like Hunter S. Thompson, I like dystopian sci-fi, so why not?
Picked this up on a recommendation from someone who's read a lot of graphic novels. Didn't know about the "Gonzo Journalist" part till I started reading it, so that was a nice surprise. Good stuff so far, tore through the first book. Got the next 2 on order.

Dini Has Does it Again
Dini has done it yet again! The mastermind behind Batman the Animated Series, Batman Beyond and even more famous DC animated shows takes his spellbinding writing to the next level in this intensely beautiful and interesting graphic novel. Not only are the stories filled with loads of twists and turns but the art by J.H. Williams III, another alumni of DC fame, delivers the characters you know ...

Great comic
I've found I love the new TF comics very much, and while reading this comit is not essential to readers who want to read only Infiltration through Devastation, it's definitely worth your while to check this series out at least once.

Finally a good epic book
Annihilation succeeds where Marvel's Civil War failed. Civil War was boring, poorly written, and hard to swallow. Annihilation in comparison is a great book that actually has some believability to it and a real sense of jeopardy for the heroes involved. Plus, it breathes some new life into some cosmic heroes/villains that have been on the back burner far too long at Marvel. I highly ...

A great read
Marvel superheroes and Transformers? What a an awesome combination. The comic was well drawn and the flow of the speech and action panels was easy to follow. Printed on quality paper and reasonably priced, this comic is definitely worth buying and collecting.

A highly anticipated, and highly recommended adaptation.
As a fan of the Redwall series for ten years, I must say I enjoyed this adaptation of the book that started them all. The quality of the work was excellent, and you can really see the characters coming to life from the pencil sketches of Bret Blevins. That being said, this book is not without its flaws. As the Book Review had mentioned, I fear some of the magic of reading the novel is lost in ...

Wonderful extension of Kavalier and Clay
Having read very few comic books before picking up Chabon's first volume of the Escapist, I was completely blown out of the water by the creativity that the authors put into their comic extension of Chabon's "The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay." Volume 2 picks up where Volume 1 left, with more of the wonderfully written comic book historical fiction that was peppered throughout the ...
