Anyone who has devoured the Perry Mason mysteries will love reading this story. The author has carefully researched the life and times of Earl Stanley Gardner and she flavors this book with much of it. In addition, the protaganist, Cece Caruso, is a great character who sports vinatge clothing. What great fun for the reader. I am ready for the next book in the series.Calliforni

I guess I should have read one of the other books first, because I found myself constantly confused in the book about Cece Caruso's life. Right in the first two pages she introduces eight characters who I guess regular readers would know all about, but I found it very bewildering. This book was captivating from the first page. I wanted to know what Cece was up to in her latest adventure. It also brought back memories of my girlhood when I read Nancy Drew. I could not put the book down or go to sleep till I finished it.
