Unique storyline, Great plot
I originally purchased the graphic version for my son. Then I read it because it sounded interesting. After that I found out that it was based on a novel and got it next. Kind of the expensive way to get a book, but hey it was still worth it. I have read a lot of novels, and the unique story line and quality of writing makes this one a must for me. Since then I have read the whole trilogy and ...

Not a kids book
I have to say that way i purchased this it was for a light read. Nothing too deep. I was mistaken. This book ties in at least 3 other books of his outside of the Black, Red, White. Be on the look out for those references. Great writing, very engaging.

Terrific, creative story
Wow! I have recently discovered Ted Dekker as an author and this is the best thing he's done. It is very difficult to take biblical themes and translate them into different settings without either offending or watering down the truth. If you've never read Ted's work and, especially if you like SciFi/Fantasy, this would be a great place to start. This started out as three different books (Black, ...

Lost books found
This 4th & final chapter in the Lost books series is a surprise, to say the least. There is quite a jump to the "other earth" that provides humor and perhaps, just a bit of silliness to the otherwise intense book. Some of the challenges experienced by the Chosen are somewhat over-the-top in my mind, but I am not the 15 year old for whom this book is written. I think any young person will find it ...

A 5-Star Author
I can see why Ted Dekker can be considered the next big thing in Christian fiction! He has a captivating way of writing, with a carefully thought-out plot. Some books have too much fluff and move too slowly. Ted Dekker's talented story moves at an easy, although exciting pace. He used enough military and political jargon to give it depth and reality. There was a good amount of "spiritual talk" ...

KCS Awesome Book!!!!! Infidel
Johnis stepped forward and lifted the ring. He recognized it immediately. "My mother's ring!" "Your mother's?" Silvie asked. 'Michal wanted you to know that the Horde took it?' But Johnis didn't think that was what Michal had meant by leaving the ring. Sweat beaded on his forehead. "She's alive." Johnis is a regular 16 year old in a land similar to our own. There are no cars or electricity, ...

ADAM - By Ted Dekker
I was hooked from the beginning! An in your face novel with continual action. Just when I figured out where Ted was taking me - he turned me to a different direction and I had no idea until it was to late. The tell-tail details were so gracefully woven into the plot I missed them. This is only my second Ted Dekker book, but I will be reading more!

Powerful
These three books challenge C.S. Lewis' Chronicles of Narnia for a fast paced Christian allegory and in fact, will probably appeal even more to an older audience. The books have everything I was looking for; action, love, philosophy, politics, suspense, and more. If you like Orson Scott Card's books, you will probably like these.

This is my kind of read!
If you love thrillers, especially Christian thrillers, you'll love "Three". It kept me on the edge of my seat till the very last page; Dekker's lastest, "Adam" is the same way. Purchase both and enjoy!

Insane, intense, this book will make you want to scream!
The second installment of the Circle Trilogy did not disappoint but managed to choke me even more than "Black" - the first book that everyone should read prior to experiencing "Red". It has been a long, long time since a book made me tear up and this roused up with emotions and abyssal feelings that only very skilled writers can exude from their reader. This is a fascinating installment that ...

The ultimate psychological thriller
To say that this novel is a psychological thriller is an understatement. The human psyche is deeply explored, as well as more about spiritual forces than at first glance. It's also not just a serial killer book, though that is one aspect. Abuse, fear, evil, victimization, freedom of choice, religion, triumph over evil, truth over lies, courage, and love all have a part in the whole. But the whole ...

Can't put this book down
This is my second time reading this book. Actually I read the trio of this story and read them all in less than a week. I had shared this book with a group of women as we all read them and discussed them. I wanted to own the book instead of borrowing it again and it's more powerful the second time around as I read. I know when a book is a great reader when I don't have to struggle through the ...

4 1/2 Stars...All About Attitude
A great title. An eye-popping cover. A renowned writer. I picked up "The Slumber of Christianity" secure in the knowledge that Dekker can communicate spiritual ideas, but wondering if these ideas would be meaty enough to warrant 200 pages. The answer is yes--and no. Since the beginning of his meteoric fiction career, Dekker has shown an amazing capacity for couching biblical truths in ...

This is not a new book, but still a great one
Blink is a Christian suspense novel by popular Christian author Ted Dekker. It's the third book I've read by this author, and by far the best, both for the sheer excitement of the novel for the spiritual issues it addresses. The novel opens with Miriam, a young Muslim girl living in Saudi Arabia. She is at her friend's wedding and we quickly learn about marriage in Saudi Arabia. The women have no ...

Now I get it!
I graduated from college with a major in Bible. I have preached in California and done mission work in India and Japan. I have read Hosea and listened to Michael Card sing. But I have never understood the love of God like I do now after reading this book. I was so frustrated by Helen's repeated forays back to Glen. Then at some point it hit me. This is what I am doing when I return ...

Thought Provoking and Gripping
Ted Dekker once again keeps the reader eagerly turning pages with his novel "Blink." Set in both America and the Muslim world of Saudi Arabia, the book follows the intertwining tales of Miriam, a Saudi princess, and Seth, a genius studying at UC-Berkeley. Caught in a coup attempt in Saudi Arabia, Seth develops an impossible ability to see the future...or glimpse an infinite number of possible ...

Ted Dekker Keeps Me Up at Night
I love reading Christian fiction and there are some great novelists out there, some of whom are my good friends. I especially enjoy Ted Dekker who is a nonstop adrenalin rush. I imagine a day with Ted is like a season of 24. I finally got around to reading The Blessed Child mainly because all of my friends and coworkers kept putting it on my desk and telling me I needed to read it. They were ...
