Huggly is cute and fun. This is a great book! Huggly, Booter and Grubble are playing hide-and-go seek. Booter is it. Grubble and Huggly come up from under a bed in the nurse's office in a school. Huggly and Grubber are mistaken for children after they put on people clothes from the lost and found! They have to get back into the monster world but how? This is a great book! You should read it!

Why Did the Chicken Cross the Road? 7 reviews Tedd Arnold, Harry Bliss, David Catrow, Marla Frazee, Jerry Pinkney, Chris Raschka, Judy Schachner, David Shannon, Mo Willems Jon Agee
Dial, 2006
To Give 14 Illustrators the Opportunity to Share Some Fun! An inspired idea: Get 14 leading kids' book illustratos to write the illustrate their punch line to the old chestnut of a riddle "Why Did the Chicken Cross the Road." It's like a series of knock-knock jokes: Rapid-fire visual and written humor that proceeds in wonderfully silly fashion, even if a few are not quite as clever as the others.
The 14 2-page spreads are like a narrow window into ...

The Simple People: 2 1 review Tedd Arnold
Dial, 1992
Thought Provoking The Simple People forces us to pause and reflect upon what modern life has become -- overly complex and out of control. As a book read to my children, I found myself thinking about the need to simplify, which as the book illustrates can only be done once we acknowledge and understand life's pace and complexity. The Simple People should be required reading for anyone in business who wish to get ...

Shoo, Fly Guy! (Fly Guy) 9 reviews Tedd Arnold
Cartwheel Books, 2006
Accidental discovery. Shoo Fly guy is a cute little story about a boy and his pet fly. The boy goes on a picnic and the fly tries to find him.
My daughter liked following his fly patterns and the stuff he visits.
I was a little concerned about one incident where he goes by a road kill frog. But she is fascinated by death for some reason(we lost a cat) so it didn't bother her.
On thing she did like is where ...

Five Ugly Monsters 1 review Tedd Arnold
Scholastic, 1995
A funny easy-reader with a twist Anyone familiar with preschoolers knows the "Five little monkeys jumping on the bed..." rhyme. Here, the cuddly-cute monsters follow the rhyme, but the doctor doesn't cooperate and the little boy gets in the last word. Great fun to read out loud, especially on a bouncy bed. Tedd Arnold's "scribble" style of illustration is fascinating close up.

Even More Parts After purchasing Parts and More Parts for my kindergarten class, I just knew Even More Parts would be an excellent addition to our classroom library. superb early reader "Super Fly Guy" is a great early reader book. It's fun and silly while still remaining a reasonable read for about a level 3 reader. I also love "Hi Fly Guy" and "Shoo Fly Guy". I only wish I could find more books of this quality at this level.
