Walt Disney's Winnie the Pooh and the Blustery Day1 review
Teddy Slater, Bill Langley, ...

Random House Disney, 1993

This Book Brings Joy To The World
What higher praise could exist for a book than what I said in the title of this review? Read this book: it will brighten your day as it has done for me for twenty-five years. It's Winnie the Pooh, folks, and there's nothing bad that I could possibly ever have to say about him. Simply a lovely story start to finish.

Word Family Sing-Along Flip Chart & CD2 reviews
Teddy Slater

Scholastic, 2003

Word Family Fun!
I taught first grade last year, and my students LOVED using this book! Their favorite song was about "Rick and Nick are feeling sick, call the doctor quick, quick, quick!" sung to the tune of "Clementine." We used it at least once a week to introduce a new word family or to review an old one. We played games with it, and it was available quite often as a center. It comes with a CD but I don't ...

Stay in Line (Hello Math Reader, Level 2, Kindergarten-Grade 2)2 reviews
Teddy Slater, Gioia Fiammenghi, ...

Cartwheel Books, 1996

Great Math Book
My kids aged 5 and 6 really enjoyed the book. Especially since i doubled up the reading with a simultaneous activity with 12 dolls/toy figures put together in a line. As we read, the kids arranged the 12 dolls in the same manner that the teacher in the book wants from her students. My younger child who is not very comfortable with numbers, got to play around with 12 pieces understanding that they ...

What I was looking for
This is wonderful! I wasn't sure when I ordered it. Even when it arrived I wasn't sure until I saw that each letter had a sing along to a familiar tune. The tunes are really cute and catchy.

a great read
This is an excellent book for a child with interest in fire fighting and rescue vehicles. My son really enjoys knowing all of the different types of trucks and has gone to the local fire station and identified them for the firefighters! This book is also helpful in the classroom during sections on community workers.

Disney Press, 2006

So Exciting Book!!!
I think this book is great! The illustration is well based on movie. I like like the part when Alice was playing Croquet with the Queen of Hearts, and when Alice was drinking "Drink Me" bottle. When Alice was eating "Eat Me" cookies. Also I like the part when Alice fell down in the Rabit hole. I think this book is great and you should read this book about a girl in Wonderland!!!

Just a Minute (Hello Math Reader. Level 2)1 review
Teddy Slater, Marilyn Burns

Scholastic, 1996

A good book to use to begin teaching time to young children!
I used this book with first graders last week in the Vestal School District in Upstate New York. I followed the Marilyn Burns activities suggested in the back of the book. The activities seem simple, but they are carefully designed. The lesson went very well and was easy to use. I was amazed that none of the children peeked when they closed their eyes for one minute so that they could feel ...
