Principles of Securities Regulation (Concise Hornbook Series) (Concise Hornbook Series)1 review
Thomas Lee Hazen

gd. but too detailed
Securities Laws change, often. and the SEC regularly comes out with new stuff they are looking for. So while this book was helpful, I think there are better sources of info available.

Hornbook on the Law of Securities Regulation1 review
Thomas Lee Hazen

West Group, 2006

Excellent Overview of Securities Law
This book is an excellent and comprehensive overview of securities law. Many hornbooks are not written well - this one is - in fact extremely well. Make sure you get the most up to date edition as the laws and regulations change. This should be a part of every securities law student's library - or securities attorney practitioner for that matter.

Corporations and Other Business Enterprises (American Casebook Series)2 reviews
Thomas Lee Hazen, Jerry W. Markham

West Group Publishing, 2003

Abridged vs Standard
I am very close to selecting this text for a seven unit course. The abridged version is not the one I need. It is extremely difficult to tell that the book being offered here is not the standard 1300+ page edition, and worse, the price seems to be for the more comprehensive version. I need to make sure that my students do not bring the abridged version to class. Further, the current edition ...

Securities Regulations in a Nutshell, (In a Nutshell (West Publishing))1 review
Thomas Lee Hazen; David L. Ratner

West Group, 2006

Not great but not bad
I recently took a job as a corporate lawyer and wanted to refresh my securities knowledge. This book hits most of the basics. The organization is sometimes a little hard to follow and it is not the most readable book. But for those with some patience, it is an adequate introduction.

Securities Regulation 2005: Selected Statutes, Rules, and Forms1 review

West Group, 2004

This is the statute book you need without the filler. It's heavy and dull, but it is absolutely ...
