I had a recent death in the family & a friend gave me this book as a gift. The book really helped me understand the grieving process & how exhausting it can be. It was easy to read & I especialy liked the reference to present day losses(example September 11 & Katrina). Reading the prayers gave me a feeling of calmness & acceptance. It was one of the best gifts I have received.

Extremely consoling - a wonderful source of strength
This book is a wonderful find. It is poignant and provides amazing comfort to those who have suffered some sort of loss. It is the only book I have ever found which I feel comfortable giving to someone who is grieving. There's something in this book for everyone. I usually keep a stock of about 5 on hand so that I can provide one to friends/coworkers who are grieving.
