Best non-Chinese book on wushu
This volume is nothing but great. It covers all the things you'll need for your wushu training and is crammed with loads of extra information about styles, people, weapons and more. I especially like the fact that it stresses jibengong, the fundamental excercises of wushu, and not taolu (form). The sanda applications are well explained and covers a lot of ground. A little bit more fighting ...

GOOD BOOK TO LEARN NEW MOVES
THIS BOOK HAS SOME GREAT INFORMATION ON TAKEDOWNS THAT ARE NOT SEEN IN MANY OTHER TEXTS. IT ALSO HAS A GREAT ROUTINE FOR PRACITCING THOSE MOVES. THE ONLY DRAW BACK IS THAT SOME OF THE MOVES WOULD NOT BE VERY PRACTICAL IN FREE FIGHTING. BUT OVER ALL A VERY GOOD BOOK

Excellent Book Excellent Teamwork
For the general mass of Martial Artists who enjoy being pulled by the tail through their martial arts program, I have some advice to offer: don't get this book. If you are looking for a 'ba gua how to' book for dummies, then you're barking at the wrong door. Dr. Yang and Liang combine to put together what may be considered a compilation of research on Baguzhang that will leave the reader both ...

Best Qigong book in English Language
I train with Master Wen-Ching Wu and i have trained a little with Grandmaster Liang, and I have not been able to find ANY books that come close to surpassing the ones that they have written. Together they have an incredibly vast knowledge of martial arts and Qigong and share it quite willingly in their fantastic books and teachings.

Excellent depiction and explanation of the forms.
My interest in Tai Chi is in the forms alone. I prefer to avoid the Daoism or Chinese cosmology usually associated with Tai Chi. So a portion of the YMAA books is of little use to me. I must say, however, that the YMAA books do an excellant job of showing how the forms are performed. Though the forms can be learned from the book alone, the learning can made a little easier by watching the ...
