True Grace: The Life and Times of an American Princess (Thomas Dunne Books)27 reviews
Wendy Leigh

St. Martin's Griffin, 2008

A good book, but disappointing
I enjoyed this book, it was an easy read, but I agree with those who say that it does have its flaws. There were many typos, words left out of sentences, and sentences that could have been structured better. Any good proofreader would have spotted those things. Also, for a person who led as full a life as Grace Kelly did, the picture section was sorely lacking. I have always admired her, and ...

Arnold: An Unauthorized Biography6 reviews
Wendy Leigh

Congdon & Weed, 1991

the real arnold
there is a reason why you can't find this book when you type in arnolds name on amazon.com. this book is an unauthorized, unpublicized invesitigative report at the real arnold, the one that does not want to have his million dollar image and governorship ruined by sexual scandal, steroid use and various other elements that make him HUMAN. this book is the real deal about arnold, the one he does ...

One Lifetime Is Not Enough6 reviews
Zsa Zsa Gabor

Delacorte Press, 1991

It's trash, but I couldn't put it down!
This is one of those books that you're embarrassed to be seen reading, buying, or checking out of the library. Zsa Zsa has written the most egotistical book I've ever read! Some of it is SO hard to believe, such as the little chapter about the priest who wanted to break his vows for one night of passion with Ms. Gabor (to make it even more incredible, her husband allegedly encouraged her to ...

Life with My Sister Madonna190 reviews
Christopher Ciccone, Wendy Leigh

Simon Spotlight Entertainment, 2008

Candid and insightful
While I generally don't read celeb-bashing books, this one was quite candid. It is clear from the first paragraph of the intimate closeness that Chris has shared with M., and how it evolved more so over time. At times I felt like I was reading over someone's private letters, the details too delicate, perhaps better left between the two of them. And I was angered as well, mostly at her, for it is ...

Prince Charming: The John F. Kennedy, Jr. Story12 reviews
Wendy Leigh

NAL Trade, 2000

Generation Xer says: "Good Read"
As a generation "Xer" this book intrigued me for one shallow purpose at the forthright. John F. Kennedy, Jr. was and will always remain in the public's eye as a sex symbol. I was glad that the author started out with something familiar when introducing her book. Beginning with the how and why of John's appointment to the sexiest man alive was something that I remembered and could identify ...

The Secret Letters of Marilyn Monroe and Jacqueline Kennedy14 reviews
Wendy Leigh

Thorndike Press, 2003

Couldn't set it down until I'd read every last page
I started this book as a "quickie," expecting not much more than glorified chick lit, but was I ever mistaken. Wendy Leigh has taken the lives of two extraordinary women, created the conceit of a correspondence between them, and used voluminous non-fiction resources to create one of my new favorite reads. Reading these "letters" made me want to seek out further biographies (I've read several ...
