A fantastic love story
This book has everything I expect from a romance novel. It was great and refreshing reading about the growing attraction between Maggie and Charlie. The "couple" meets at a sporting event after trying to set up there friends Julie and Dom. At first they seem to dislike each other more than anything else. Charlie finds Maggie way too controlling and she thinks he is the typical eternal ...

Great fun, easy to read
I admit that I have been avidly reading chick lit books for the past year. It's my vice. :) This book has been one of the best reads. While other books have lulls in them, this book kept me reading and guessing. Not only was I trying to guess which Mike she picked, I was smiling...there are so many moments I could picture myself in. It's meant to be a fun book to read - and it delivers. ...

A keeper
I would give this book 10 stars! It is one of, if not THE, best book I have read in a long time and I read up to 3, sometimes 4 books a week. A very heartwrenching, heartwarming, touching romance. I read it in one sitting, couldn't put it down. I cried at the end, something I rarely, if ever do with a book or movie. Thank goodness it was 2 a.m. when I finished it and was tired or I would ...

My thoughts
To the person that really likes romance and funny books this book is for them. I really liked it a lot. It is very captivating and intrigreging to watch what goes on in her life. I could really relate to her at some points.

Slightly Married (Slightly Series)5 reviews

Red Dress Ink, 2007

another great book
I've read and enjoyed all the books in this series and this one, in my opinion, was the best one yet! Wendy Markham has a way with words that I feel like I'm part of the book. As an engaged woman, I can relate to the bridal shower scene and laughed all the way through the chapter. This book shows not only the great parts of being in love and engaged but the realistic parts-desire of another man, ...

Love her books...BUT...
I love her books, but this writing in the present tense MAKES ME CRAZY! The entire time I'm reading the book I am translating it into the past tense, as in "They seem so comfortable together, she notes" instantly becomes in my head "They seemed so comfortable together, she noted." Picky? Maybe, but with her extreme writing talent, I just wish she would write NORMALLY, LOL... Aside from that ...

Slightly Suburban (Red Dress Ink)3 reviews

Red Dress Ink, 2008

More chick lit
Slightly Suburban is the latest in the series of "Slightly" books. I have been all over the place with these books - I love the way this author writes and the storyline is engaging and quite funny. But I actively DISLIKE the main character Tracy - she is bossy, annoying, demanding, whiny and immature. Everytime I read one of the books in this series, I get this urge to smack her and tell her ...

Best Chick Book to Date!!
What got my attention was the inside page when Annie calls her deceased husband's cell just to hear his voice on the voice mail and someone actually says "Hello".. I just had to buy it.. I love the fact that this book takes place in the Hamptons, Manhattan, and The Village. The author gives great detail into each of these areas and it really made me feel as if I were on the beach looking for ...

Light-hearted romance for a good read
The fatal day that everything fell apart, Meg Addams decided to leave Manhattan for the wholesome suburban, small-town lifestyle of Glenhaven Park where she grew up. She assumed that moving out of the big city wasn't going to be a problem for either her or her 15-year-old daughter Cosette. Well, other that re-adjusting their lives from the rhythms of the city that never sleeps, to those of small ...
