All Better 7 reviews Leigh Attaway Wilcox
Piggy Toes Press, 2007
More complex than it looks On the surface this is a simple plot, till you realize the textures cleverly employed to give it dimmension. And the test of skills for the reader--to match the bandage to the patient--is one I had to deny myself so my grandchildren will have the pleasure for themselves. I know each one of them will get a kick out of this book. I recommend it highly.

Don't Leap With the Sheep: And Other Scriptural Strategies for Avoiding Satan's Snares 14 reviews S. Michael Wilcox
Shadow Mountain, 2001
Probably the most complete book about swimming I've readed a lot of books about swimming and I must declare that this one is probably the best. It analise every aspect of this sport and supported by an impressionant bibliography it can separate facts from suppositions and errors. This book has helped me to understand the deepest aspect of training and swim propulsion in the four strokes, and it can be well used in addiction with other ...

. . . And the Donkey They Rode in On 9 reviews David C. Wilcox
D C W Industries, 2001
A must read - An enlightening view of local politics As a person who has spent many years working on political campaigns, I give David Wilcox high marks for doing a great job of describing what goes on when Republicans and Democrats slug it out. It's a sad but true commentary on how low the Democrats often stoop to gain a little advantage over a good Republican candidate. I have seen first hand the kind of thing that goes on in real political ...

Blood Lust 6 reviews Rhys A. Wilcox
Lulu Enterprises, UK Ltd, 2007
Vamp Stamp of Approval! Rhys's Blood Lust definitely gets the vampress.net stamp of approval for vampy goodness! Witty, intelligent and action packed! This novel is anything but the boring played out vampire stereotypes found in most vampire based novels. You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll laugh some more and you'll hope someone beats the bad guys with their own body parts (and someone does!). I personally enjoyed the ...

Falling for Rapunzel 33 reviews Leah Wilcox
Puffin Books, 2006
Loved it! We first heard this story at a story time. It's a fun, quirky, fresh take on an old classic. The rhymes are cute, as well as the maid, and even Rapunzel comes out looking good. I have two boys and, even though it is probably more of a girl story, they love it. I will probably buy this for my nieces come birthday time.

A Degree of Mastery: A Journey Through Book Arts Apprenticeship 8 reviews Annie Tremmel Wilcox
New Rivers Press, 1999
Literal or spiritual - take your pick A practical person can read this book as an extended essay on how to approach an apprenticeship, and how to bind conservation texts. A spiritual person can add layers to the stories and extrapolate life lessons. Either way, the main character/author is extremely sympathetic character. Her teacher had amazing gifts, both as a conservator and as a teacher. The book is deceptively short. Looks ...

Grover and the Everything in the Whole Wide World Museum 13 reviews Norman Stiles, Daniel Wilcox, ...
Random House Books for Young Readers, 1974
Grover's Gravitas I love Grover. Grover is a three-dimensional kid's character the likes of Linus and Charlie Brown. Elmo, on the other hand, is a two-dimension character, along the lines of a Barney or Boots. Up with Grover, down with Elmo. Elmo's incessant brightness leaves no room for the ego to breathe. When I was a kid watching Sesame Street, it was all Grover all the time. Then Elmo took over and was ...

Creative Bead Weaving: A Contemporary Guide to Classic Off-Loom Stitches 31 reviews Carol Wilcox Wells
Sterling, 1996
The best book on beadweaving on the market! I have a bunch of beadweaving books, but THIS is the one I refer to when I forget a stitch or need some technical help with increasing or decreasing. Nice projects and instructions are written clearly. If you buy only one book on beadweaving, it should be this one!

Wings of Fury 5 reviews Robert K. Wilcox
Atria, 1997
Master arm on...Master arm on.... I've always dreamed of being a fighter pilot....this book really conveys what I imagine it might really be like...it goes beyond "top gun" or some of the other movies of that ilk... If you know any technical details about how jets really work, or even if you don't, this book really will give you a better sense of what really goes through a pilots mind both in combat and in training. As the ...

We visited New York City this summer and Brian Wilcox' creative interpretation of America's most vibrant city is truly a delight for their young minds. Fundamentals of Modern Statistical Methods: Substantially Improving Power and Accuracy 4 reviews Rand R. Wilcox
Springer, 2001
elementary but well-written with a modern touch using robustness This is a marvelous introductory statistics book. In the first five chapters Wilcox presents the classical statistical methods with simplicity and great care. Emphasis is properly placed on the assumptions of the methods and the fact that many times important assumptions are violated in practice. This is all done in the first five chapters. Then in chapters 6 - 12 he provides alternative modern ...

Flight of the Revenants 5 reviews Jeffrey P. Wilcox
Authorhouse, 2005
Nothing but potential for this author! A fast-paced storyline that keeps the reader guessing, Flight of the Revenants is not just a sci-fi novel. It incorporates elements of thriller, suspense, and military fiction as well. What makes the story all the more intriguing is that the possibility of some of the events is very real (if not the alien invasion, then the global political situation)! An excellent production by a first-time ...

Masters: Beadweaving: Major Works by Leading Artists (Masters (Lark Books)) 6 reviews Carol Wilcox Wells
Lark Books, 2008
Love it! Love it! LOVE IT! Just got my copy today and I'm more than thrilled. It's a nice heavy, quality book for the price. The photos are good and the little blurbs about the artists are very nice. Yes, we have seen some of the beadwork by famous artists (Diane Fitzgerald, etc.) before in other books, but a lot of it I haven't seen before.
Can't wait to sit down tonight and pore over every page!
