A good book to read for anyone considering a career in veterinary medicine or eco-travel. Interesting to consider the differences in the places the author visited in the 1990s and their current condition. Set in Zaire, Indonesia, Bolivia, Peru, Cameroon, etc. Wonderful photos.

I'd love to read it again
I read this book when it first came out three years ago, and I still think about it. His stories about the wonderful animals around the world touched my heart and I would highly reccomend this book if you enjoy reading about animals.
