Chronological Order of the Old & New Testaments in Fourteen Basic Blocks 1 review William H. Burton
Dorrance Publishing Co. Inc., 2006
Truely a wonderful Pastor and Mentor The author of this book is truely a wonderful pastor and mentor. I would read anything he wrote. He was my pastor of my youth and a loving and awesome man. I will always think of him as my father figure since my father died when I was only 8 years of age. I am very much looking forward to reading this book and studying it and learning something new. Thank you Pastor Burton.

Othello (The Annotated Shakespeare) 2 reviews William Shakespeare
Yale University Press, 2005
The Annotated Othello Before the fall semester came rolling in, I went on a Shakespeare binge to get myself back into reading. On finding the right books, I had certain preferences: 1. I didn't want a modern translation of the work and 2. I didn't want the annotations on the bottom take up 3/4 of the page. Personally, I find it hard to enjoy a work where there are only 4 lines of
it on one page. Not to mention, ...

Burton's Legal Thesaurus 10 reviews William C. Burton

Adventures in Music Listening 1 review Leon Burton, William Hughes
Alfred Publishing Company, 1997
Terrific resource for general music teachers. If you have not tried Bowmar's Adventures in Music Listening for listening lessons, I would highly recommend it. There are two different levels available: K-2 and 3-5, with a third level for grades 6-8 still to be published. Level 1 has 32 lessons with outcomes and content standards that correlate to the National Standards for Music Education. The Teacher's Edition includes a CD with an ...

Hamlet (The Annotated Shakespeare) 5 reviews William Shakespeare
Yale University Press, 2003
No Words to Describe There is little need to review the actual text: it is undoubtedly (along with many other of Shakespeare's plays) an extremely influential work of the human mind, and very well may be the best work of literature ever written, period.
The actual presentation and annotation of the text is rather indivdual as well. Whereas most annotated texts of Shakespeare place annotations on the other side of ...

Macbeth (The Annotated Shakespeare) 1 review William Shakespeare
Yale University Press, 2005
Yale's may be the best edition of Macbeth Virtually all editions of Macbeth will have at least some annotations. Rummaging through five different editions, I preferred this Yale University Press version, edited by Burton Raffel, as having the most comprehensive and comprehensible notes, as well as an excellent introduction to Shakespeare's play. Raffel not only explains the meanings of obscure words, but also gives brief notes ...

The Anatomy of Melancholy (New York Review Books Classics) 22 reviews Robert Burton
NYRB Classics, 2001
Vivisect your mind Where to begin discussing this book? How about again and again? For it begs never to be put down, and if finished (as if that's even possible) to be picked up again and pored over. Again. And again. And again . . .
It got Samuel Jonson out of bed earlier than he wished. It kept me up later than I wished, and still "reading" it in my mind over and over again, musing on the insanity of it - the ...

Literature for Composition: Essays, Fiction, Poetry, and Drama (with Craft of Literature CD-ROM) (6th Edition) 8 reviews Sylvan Barnet, William Burton, ...
Longman, 2002
Literature for Composition: Essays, Fiction, Poetry, and Drama (8th Edition) This book was a requirement for a Literature in Society class. This book is very expensive in my opinion. The stories, poems, and plays inside of the book are wonderful and eye-opening. Before each story, poem, or play there is a short biography about each author. I particularly enjoy those. It helped me most times to know where the author may have been coming from with his or her writing.

Melting Pot Soldiers: The Union Ethnic Regiments (North's Civil War , No 4) 2 reviews William Burton
Fordham University Press, 1998
The Union Army's Universal Soldiers This is a very good and highly readable overview of the various "ethnic" regiments that made up the Union forces during the Civil War. From funny to heartbreaking to admirable, the stunning variety of soldiers that entered the Union armies is fascinating. Some regiments were specifically formed to take in ethinc soldiers of a certain nationality but when few recruits of that group joined they ...

Advanced Ip Routing in Cisco Networks 16 reviews Terry Slattery, William Burton, ...
McGraw Hill Text, 2000
Excellent reference + study material for the routing exam I used this book to study for the Cisco Routing Exam 640-503. The material is very relevant to real world issue I deal with in our network day to day. The book is worth the money for the great sample configurations and debug info alone. It covers in more detail the practical side of doing ip routing then most of the Cisco Press titles. The authors clearly know the material and put together ...

Missionary pioneering in Congo forests: A narrative of the labours of William F.P. Burton and his companions ... 1 review William Frederick Padwick Burton
R. Seed, 1922
Power and Capacity While this book is called a narrative, I believe it was written by Harold Womersley, as told to Harold by W Burton, and many of his family and friends.
You can always find a good book written on the events in the life of a missionary, yet this book is a particular favourite of mine, because W Burton inspires you to put as much into each day that you can.
It did not matter what trial he ...

Sacred Elephant (Naxos Complete Texts) 1 review
Naxos of America, 2007
Older book but still relevant This is an older copy of this book, written in 1989. It's is an environmental document.
Heathcote's poetic description of the plight of the elephant is beautiful, painful and very accurate. Half of the book is devoted to his ode to the elephant and the second half is devoted to miscellaneous quotes and short texts that are about elephants.
This book was written when the ivory trade ...
