Freehold 1 review William C. Dietz
Ace, 1987
Surprise! I'm not much of a SciFi fan (this book was givin to me as a gift). So, I was very surprised at how good it was. Dietz's characters were appealing, which is hard to accomplish in such a short book (I'm used to 500 page or more books). I think the fast paced action is what really caught my attention though. I recommend this book to any SciFi/Fantasy reader.

Star Wars - Dark Forces: Rebel Agent 3 reviews William C. Dietz, Ezra Tucker
Dark Horse, 1999
A Series You Just Can't Afford To Miss! I bought this graphic novel on a whim! I'm an avid Star Wars fan and am willing to read anything Star Wars. However, graphic novels tend to be expensive, so I usually just satisfy my Star Wars cravings with a regualr novel. I saw my opportunity to check out this portion of the Dark Forces trilogy, based upon the Dark Forces video game, when it was marked down as a special deal in a local ...

Prison Planet 2 reviews William C. Dietz

This was an exelent book. I loved it. It was vividly written, and realistic. I cannot say I've read much good books in the past six months, but this was a wonderful book.

Mars Prime 1 review William C. Dietz
Roc, 1992
Another great read I really liked this book. I mean really liked this book. As usually Mr. Dietz has done it again. Although I'm more into sci-fi stuff, since this was Mr. Dietz, I had to read it. This murder mystery in space story was good, he tied a couple of other things together to stear you away from the bad guy, but the ending was great. The whole camera in your head thing was good. Again with the ...

Hitman: Enemy Within 8 reviews
Ballantine Books, 2007
Enjoyable read As a fan of the game series, I was very interested in this book. While not the deepest, intellectual read I've ever had, it was pleasantly surprised with the book. It takes the character to new places and does expand on what makes him tick. Some of the other characters are fairly flat and most are quickly dealt with by the protaganist. For someone with no knowledge of the games, it will be an ...

Hard-boiled space opera at its best The McCade series of 1. "Galactic Bounty" (earlier published as "War world"), 2. "Imperial bounty", 3. Alien bounty", and 4. "McCade's bounty"; presents a completely new kind of science fiction character in Sam McCade. McCade is the bounty hunter within the terran empire that finds himself in the center of intergalactic politics and conflicts where his past military career in the terran ...

Bodyguard 10 reviews William C. Dietz
e-reads.com, 2008
A Non-Stop Action Thriller With Heart! I've been a fan of William C. Dietz's work for awhile now. And I've always thought of Bodyguard as his best. When you consider he's the creator of the incredible Legion Of The Damned series, this is no faint praise.
What sets Bodyguard apart from most science-fiction is the book's heart. I can't remember the last time I read an action-driven story (sci-fi or other) with characters as ...

For Those Who Fell 7 reviews William C. Dietz
Amazon Remainders Account, 2004
One of the best books of this series! One of the best books of this series! Action packed but not lacking in plot and intrigue. As always, Dietz has woven plenty of political plots and betrayals with grisly battles and interesting characters. I give it 5 stars.

Jedi Knight (Star Wars: Dark Forces) 28 reviews William C. Dietz
Putnam Adult, 1998
Reads like a bullet, and leaves nothing out. I had this book for a year before I actually read it. Since I primarily bought it for the great, poster quality, painted, full page illustrations it didn't matter. Besides I was under the impression that it was a "juvenile", a kid's book. Yeah, right, this is about as much a juvenile as is Heilein's _Starship Troopers_. There are some very gritty combat scenes here- and very well developed ...

Steelheart 4 reviews William C. Dietz
Ace, 1998
Steelheart is one hell of a cyberpunk novel! STEELHEART is a fresh cyberpunk novel. I thought I was jaded, if not certainly poisoned, against reading anymore diffusive, anal retentive cyberpunk tales. And the title certainly fooled me into thinking that the novel was not a cyberpunk novel. But Dietz had the right blend, and was fresh enough to show it. In addition, he certainly had The right characters that I'd like to see more of in ...

Mccade's Bounty 4 reviews William C. Dietz
Ace, 1990
AWSOME AS ALWAYS FROM WCD The last book of four about Sam McCade is totally incredible. Even though I knew there was only 4 when I bought it, because I bought it after all 4 were already out, I was reading it with the desire for it not to end. There is absolutely no way to compare with other books by other guys when it come to military sci-fi. Unfortunately, there are no more about Sam McCade. Just wait a year and ...

The Flood (Halo #2) 126 reviews William C. Dietz
Del Rey, 2003
Carlos says "I understand more about the game because of the book" The second book in the Halo trilogy basically is a novel of the game: Halo: Combat Evolved. It features mostly the Master Chief and his mission to destroy Halo, and tells the story from the eyes of an Elite and his assistant Grunt and their mission to destroy the Chief, and also tells the story through the eyes of UNSC Marines fighting to survive on Halo.
The Book is very similar to the game ...

IMPERIAL BOUNTY 2 reviews WILLIAM C. DIETZ
NEW ENGLISH LIBRARY LTD, 1988
Dietz is the man. This is not so much about "Imperial Bounty" is as it as about Dietz as a writer. I am completely shocked that his writings don't have any reviews. At least that's the case for some of the titles i've seen. Anyway my point is that i have grabbed up every non star wars book that the man has read and just love his writing. I was not aware that he is writing about star wars, but i guess i know ...

Legion of the Damned 22 reviews William C. Dietz
Topeka Bindery, 1993
Legion of the Damned by William C. Dietz I have to be honest here, I'm not a huge fan of science fiction. I'm more of a fantasy lover. Yes, there is a difference in my opinion between the two subjects. This book was therefore grudgingly accepted from my boyfriend when he was looking for something for me to read instead of spending more of my tight budget. At first it took some time for me to figure out what was going on because, as I ...
