False Positive11 reviews
William Cutrer, Sandra Glahn

WaterBrook Press, 2002

Real People and Real Situations
A morality play...disguised as a medical mystery...with the requisite dash of romance? Hmm, was this worth my time? Although I believe in the sanctity of life, the subject matter of this book almost kept me from reading it. I feared a thinly veiled anti-abortion discourse--and one thing I don't handle well is agenda-heavy fiction. If you want to make a point, make sure to entertain and tell a ...

Deadly Cure (Bioethics Series #2)9 reviews
William Cutrer MD, Sandra Glahn

Kregel Publications, 2001

I loved the book "Deadly Cure"
I think it was 3-4 times I was brought to tears reading this book. It touches the heart of Pregnancy loss and the deep pain , a subject that is often swept under the rug (it will disappear if we ignore it). This book was wonderfully written , tactfully while still exposing certain truths. I recommend this book as well as the first one, "Lethal Harvest".

Lethal Harvest (Bioethics Series #1)13 reviews
William Cutrer MD, Sandra Glahn

Kregel Publications, 2000

Straight out of Tonight's Headlines
Lethal Harvest appears to jump off the headlines of today's papers into a most captivating novel. Scientifically correct, ethically sound - and with a rhythmn and pace that keep you wanting to 'read just one more chapter'. Every Congressman should read this book before they vote on Human Cloning.

Practical information with heart
Right around this time of year, sermons about Mother's Day and the beauty of parenthood bring grief to those experiencing the hellish ride of infertility. This book was invaluable in helping me understand the medical, spiritual and emotional issues facing infertile couples. Glahn's personal story is woven ...

The Contraception Guidebook: Options, Risks, and Answers for Christian Couples3 reviews
William R. Cutrer, Sandra L. Glahn

Zondervan, 2005

Excellent Resource for engaged and married couples!!
This book offers sound medical advice while encouraging you to seek God's Will. If only we could find OB/GYNs out there that offered the same thing. Too many people blindly accept hormonal birth control without realizing the risks and ethical issues surrounding it. This book really explains the risks without making you feel "dirty" for using them. It leaves the choice up to the reader. But ...

Oh, What a Loansome Time I Had: The Civil War Letters of Major William Morel Moxley, Eighteenth Alabama ...
William Morel Moxley, Emily Beck Moxley, ...

Univ. of Alabama Press, 2002

Most surviving correspondence of the Civil War period was written by members of a literate, elite class; few collections exist in which the woman's letters to her soldier husband have been preserved. Here, in the exchange between William and Emily Moxley, a working-class farm couple from Coffee County, Alabama, we see vividly an often-neglected aspect of the Civil War experience: the hardships of civilian life on the home front. Emily's moving ...
