Mounce's Complete Expository Dictionary of Old and New Testament Words 10 reviews
Zondervan, 2006
Renn and Mounce Late to arrive was Mounce's Complete Expository Dictionary of Old and New Testament Words (Zondervan, though copyrighted 2006). This is very similar to a recently produced (2005), Vine-replacement dictionary from Hendrickson, Stephen Renn, ed., Expository Dictionary of Bible Words: Word Studies for Key English Bible Words Based on the Hebrew And Greek Texts. Both dictionaries do different ...

Word Biblical Commentary Vol. 46, Pastoral Epistles 5 reviews William D. Mounce
Thomas Nelson, 2000
Word Biblical Commentary: Pastoral Epistles I had heard that this book was extremely good, and now that I have actually gotten to read some of it, I must agree wholeheartedly! Not only does Mounce go into incredible detail in discussing the Greek of the Pastoral Epistles, he shows the reader the various viewpoints regarding controversial passages as well as listing the strengths and weaknesses of each. One can tell that his research is ...

Biblical Greek (Zondervan Get an A! Study Guides) 11 reviews William D. Mounce
Zondervan, 2005
Nice to have... I have found this little cheat sheet very helpful. As one reviewer mentioned, its not a must have, but it is certainly nice to have. Wile learning another language, it is nice to have a quick reference guide readily available instead of thumbing through your textbook. If you are just learning Greek, you could certainly live without this chart, but its cheep and personally has helped me.

Basics of Biblical Greek Grammar 72 reviews William D. Mounce
Zondervan, 2003
Best Grammar I have seen This is the best grammar I have used in my 18 years in the ministry. I have tutored Greek students on occasion and have found this grammar to be the best grammar available. The "inductive" approach is very easy to follow. I highly recommend this grammar as a primary to anyone reviewing their Greek (or secondary grammar to any student) who wants a clear overview of Koine Greek. I use it as ...

A Graded Reader of Biblical Greek 9 reviews William D. Mounce
Zondervan, 1996
your own personal tutor in Biblical Greek This workbook has been kept me on the right track thoughout my studies of Greek. In a fairly systematic way, Mounce introduces practical grammatical and syntactical ideas as they show up in the given texts and keys them into Wallace's grammar. This allows the student to inductively learn and retain more intermediate concepts while working in the New Testament without having to sit down and read ...

Interlinear for the Rest of Us: The Reverse Interlinear for New Testament Word Studies 5 reviews William D. Mounce
Zondervan, 2006
Easy to use; accurate results It would be nice if all pastors and teachers knew Greek. But since they don't (or they know enough to be dangerous), this book is an essential tool. Specifically, we've all heard sermons where a word study was done on the wrong Greek word because the presenter did not use a tool like this Interlinear to discover the appropriate word in Greek. Mounce has now made this easier for "the rest of us." ...

Morphology of Biblical Greek, The 8 reviews William D. Mounce
Zondervan, 1994
Excellant as a reference but don't get bogged down There is no doubt that this is an excellant resource and if you master it you will really know Greek. My experience was that I got bogged down in it. At some point I found reading and understanding the why more difficult than just memorizing it. It's intended as a reference tool and that is how it's best used early in your Greek - use occasionally but mostly just read the Greek and figure it ...
