One of the best textbooks i've ever read!
The author of this book really had the student reader in mind. He includes every aspect of business and financing in the text. He is broad but simple at the same time. I would recommend this book to anyone that is beginning to get into the business world of learning!

This is an excellent book to learn taxation from. I used West taxation books before going on to a career at a big 4 accounting firm! As far as the previous reviewer, who is obsessed with out of date charts and tax forms....she/he doesn't really understand taxation. Tax codes change year in and out. Very comprehensive
This a good corporate tax book, and I'm not saying that just because my professor (Raabe) helped write it. It is a very comprehensive look at partnerships, corporate, estate, and trust taxes. Review
The book was in very good shape and was sent out in a very timly manner. However, if you are a student who is planning to get this book for your class I might not suggest doing so. This book is the professional edition which does not come with the access code for the RIA website for tax research. Which you might need for class assignments and projects.

The text is well written & very understandable. There are good examples in every chapter. The problems are good, too. In general, it's all very well explained.

This book is required for most college-level courses in individual income taxes, but it is the sloppiest, most poorly written textbook I've ever used. Where are the copy editors? The publisher could save at least 100 pages just by tightening up the verbose writing style.
