Both story and illustrations are absolutely first-rate. My children had borrowed the original edition from the library several times so when I found this edition I bought it immediately. I was afraid that my kids would not resonate to this book after expectations that it was the Meet the Robinsons book. That was not the case. If you are a fan of the Art of Pixar books, Robots is easily on par. It has some of the most talented, amazing and awe-inspiring pre-vis work I have ever seen in an art book. The entire Robots world is contained inside these pages, its entire evolution plotted out with hundreds of drawings, paintings and sculptures.

The book, even though difficult to find, is worth a good look. There's LOTS of information and it doesn't seem as though the book leans one way or the other....innocent or guilty.
