Fire Station (Annikins #03)4 reviews
Robert N. Munsch

Topeka Bindery, 1982

Great story about a very forward girl
This is a great story for kids who love fire engines, kids who are irrepressible, or kids who know another kid who just won't take no for an answer. Michael's friend Sheila won't let the word "no" stop her; not from Michael, and not from any of the adults. She wants to see the fire station so she takes Michael in with her and asks for a tour. The friendly fireman agrees, but then Sheila wants a ...

Robert Munsch

Cartwheel, 2004

Great Book!
My daughter adores this book! She checked it out of the school library so many times the librarian asked me if she would consider reading something different. I decided to purchase her own copy to avoid conflicts. She reads it constantly. I adore the fact that Robert Munsch has the foresight to reflect real life children in his books. The star of this story is a little girl in a wheelchair. ...

Rebound by Sagebrush, 2002

Get Out of Bed kept us laughing during storytime for weeks!
This book was a hit at my house. My boy wanted it read every other night for weeks. It was funny and showed silly consequences of not going to bed. Kids won't want to end up like this child and at school in there bed!

Munschworks 3: The Third Munsch Treasury4 reviews
Robert N. Munsch

Annick Press, 2000

Munschworks Rocks!
Robert Munsch is my classes favorite author! He is a really funny man.He tackles really strange topics(farts, peeing, etc) and has my class in hysterics. He is a wonderful author for teaching classes to read. He has a lot of predictable text in his books so the classes can read along. One of the nicest things about Robert Munsch is the fact he answers the children's letters. I have written to ...

Robert N. Munsch

Demco Media, 2003

Another winner from Munsch/Martchenko
Robert Munsch and Michael Martchenko are a winning team in childrens' books, and this is another one of their terrific partnerships. Munsch's well-paced tales coupled with Martchenko's vivid and funny artwork encourage preschoolers and young grade schoolers to reread their books many times over. This book features a very hungry little boy, his exasperated mom, and a pie-eating contest. My kids ...

Very Funny
My 20 month old daughter loves it. I'm not sure that she connects it to her 2 month old brother, but she sure enjoys having us read it to her. She pulls it out again and again and screams along!

Lighthouse: A Story Of Remembrance2 reviews
Robert N. Munsch

Scholastic Canada, 2003

In the style of "Love You Forever"
Another classic Munsch book. Written in the style of "Love You Forever" If you don't like the sad endings you might want to stay away from this book. If your child is coping with the loss of a Grandparent I would definitely recommend this book. It gives a wonderful message of remembrance and tradition and the importance of what parents pass down to their children.

A Promise Is a Promise1 review
Robert N. Munsch

Topeka Bindery, 1999

Keeping promises
The Qallupilluq is an imaginary Inuit creature that lives on Hudson Bay, according to the book's afterward. This troll-like thing wears a parka made of loon feathers and is said to grab children when they walk near the cracks in the ice. This creature was invented much like others' hobgoblins, to frighten children into listening to their parents. This version of an encounter with the Qallupilluit ...

Great children's book for subway lovers
Silly and fun. Every child will love the story about poor Jonathan who couldn't clean his room thanks to the crowds of people leaving the subway station that was magically connected to it. The illustrations are wonderfully rendered.

Annick Press, 2001

Loved in Spanish too!
I speak very little Spanish, so when I volunteered in an orphanage in Peru, this book was a huge hit! If I could have one wish, it would be for a hundred copies of this book to give to the children of Ayacucho.

Giant, or Waiting for the Thursday Boat (Munsch for Kids)1 review
Robert N. Munsch

Annick Press Ltd ,Canada, 1990

A Major Step For Our Anglo-Saxon Society...
Robert Munsch should be praised for tanscending the typical depictions of God in our society. Through depicting God as a little black girl, Munsch expounds the stereotypical images of God within our society. This book has great literary value for children and adults of all ages and colours. If you promote the current attempts to alter the images of white superiority within children's ...

Wonderful Books
When I was in Canada a few years ago I bought a copy of "Murmel, Murmel, Murmel"--in fact I bought three copies! I had never heard of Munsch before, but this little book ("Murmel . . .") caught my eye because it is about a little girl who finds a baby who can only say "Murmel . . .", and the little girl tries to find someone to care for the baby. At the time, my granddaughter was in foster ...

we love these stories!

Munschworks: The First Munsch Collection (Munschworks)2 reviews
Robert N. Munsch

Annick Press, 1998

Munschworks is great
Robert Munch has done all teachers and parents a favor bycompiling some of his more popular stories into onecollection. Children at my school love it when I take out this book. Munschworks is a great tool to involve young children in emergent literacy. The stories "Thomas' Snowsuit", "David's Father" and "I have to go" really get the children involved in the telling of the story which instills ...
